you must be using shitty public trackers
Am I really helping Microsoft by sending my personal browsing history to them?
>>55147186
Yes, they'll adjust their bing results to give you better search results next time you search for tranny porn
>>55147186
Yes, you're ensuring the continuation of the glorious late capitalistic world.
>>55147223
also will share it according to their policy so they can make more money displaying "more relevant" ads that you dont click on anyway
yes, thats what they do with it - they dont care if you browse tranny porn, they only look at that data in regards: can it make us more money
Is there a way to see the videos or at least the titles of the deleted videos in my playlist?
Grandpa pls

Search the URL, sometimes you can find the name to re-add another copy at least.
Alright /g/, the time hath finally come. I have been looking forward to my first school programming project, and I must declare what I'm going to do in my intro to programming class in Java. Ganna have about a month and a half to complete it.
Was thinking of doing an RPG character stat creator. How pleb is this? I want to learn a lot, considering I have lacked the motivation to do anything without a course directed requirement. Though, I also don't want to start on something.
Help me not be a shitty code monkey guys.
>>55145614
Start on something that I won't regret*

make a computer that can play a game. Tic tac toe, nimh, poker are some games that are pretty easy to code an AI for.

If it's your first time, tic tac toe seems easy enough OP.
Is Firefox comparable with Chrome's performance on Linux yet?
Any reason to use Chrome over it? And what fork of Firefox is the best?
Really depends on your hardware. Firefox still has really shitty resource management on linux, it micro-stutters constantly on my laptop, that's why I use chrome.
On a somewhat powerful PC it shouldn't really matter though - never had problems on my desktop at least
>Any reason to use Chrome over it?
"Muh privacy" and gui customization. However, if you only care about stability and speed, use chrome.
>And what fork of Firefox is the best?
64bit default. All forks are either...

I would use chromium if it respected font config. Fonts look like crap.
It still sucks
What is the mistake people make recording vertical? I have a galaxy s5 how do i avoid this?
flip it turnways

>flip it turnways
what do you mean by this? never hold it upwards? only record as if phone were on side?
turn it flipways
I'm not sure the name of what I'm specifically looking for. I'm wanting to basically learn electronics, but I want to know about circuitry and how to build (or put together) components and things of the sort, like making a password-based circuit breaker, or installing switches onto a PC to control the case lights. Electronics of this sort. I don't know where to start or what to look for in this area, but I'd like to tinker with this sort of thing if I could be headed in the right direction.
This obviously also includes wanting to learn the finer...

get a degree in electrical engineering
good luck
>>55145426
I know this can be learned without going to college. Reasonably not as efficiently, but I have a friend who studies in this same thing in his free time, and has gained enough experience to land a job in it, even though he just does this for fun.
I just need to know what to look for and I'll go for there. I'm assuming just look for electrical engineering tutorials.
>>55145411
Become a filthy technician on assembly lines and enjoy your shitty, unqualified life.
That's the only way you can do it without college.
What is the best book to learn c++?
Professional Idiot: A Memoir

So, which are memes and which are not?
Is Sony still a relevant company?
Which should be avoided?
Curved TVs are a total meme. Unless you go like 100 inches, the effect is negligible.
Make sure they are HDR and WCG ready. There were a lot of 4K's that were released that do not have these features so they are already outdated. If you want to play new 4K Blurays you will need these features.
>>55144461
Sony is the top dog in 4K tvs at the moment, Samsung licence their tech for for Quantum Dots but I don't think they will partner up like they did for LCD production
Do you think the 360 video technology is trending and will have a good market?
I'm producing my very first 360 video with some particles reacting to music and it's looking good. But I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time or I might be on to something.
>>55144218
I honestly think it's just a nice gimmick to show off VR. If you're having fun doing what you're doing, keep doing it. Don't expect it to be the next big thing though.
If everyone owned VR, then 360 video would become the norm.
>>55145256
I still don't think it would. Imagine trying to watch a movie in 360. You're either going to be missing half the action at any one time, or you'll have be watching the camera guy, and the boom mic operator fucking around.
Why isn't there one single good Linux Distro with everything build from scratch, without all the GNU Parts?
The GNU Parts only exist in Linux, because everyone is way to lazy to to build there own parts. New Shell, new Compiler Collection etc.
Linux can exist without all these GNU Parts. All it takes is time and effort to push out all these GNU Parts and create a clean, fresh Linux based OS.
There is Alpine
musl and busybox replace glibc and gnu utils
clang is a meme shilled by applefags to EEE their way into Linux
What's your problem with GNU? Every other alternative is shittier.
>>55146378
>It's pronounciation is weird, makes you want to barf after saying "NU"
>GNU only teaches Semi Unixism (see GNU true, etc)
>GNU does not care about user experience, only freedom
Sup' guys.
Imma buy a brand new PC but i'm still hesitating on motherboard but i know much about it. On what criteria should i choose, how can i know this one is better than the other...
I torn between an Asus Z170-pro and an Asus ROG - MAXIMUS VIII HERO.
(If you have other suggestion, shoot).
Just for you to know, i'll buy a 2k screen (or 2, still don't know), an Nvidia gtx1080, 16Gb RAM, 800W Power supply unit and a I5 6600K (or I7 6700 but i'm not sure an I7 is quite useful for gaming...)
Help me, /g/, you're my only hope.
>>55143734
What you are saying is that you are going to spend 300$ on a gay man motherboard, and then save money on the CPU? Bad idea, senpai. Buy an Ultra Durable branded Z170 motherboard from Gigabyte and then buy the i7. Motherboards barely make a difference, whereas other hardware does.
>>55143734
I personally like the TUF series. So I'm planning on getting a Sabertooth Z170-s
>>55143734
I was in the same situation as yourself. Ended up going for the GA-Z170X-Gaming 7. Yes, it looks like shit, but it seemed to have the best components for the money.
Fortunately, you can disconnect LEDs.
When adding new media while having the "Album List" view it renders this random glitch (one album loses X songs from the view and the one after it gains X blank lines representing "something").
Creating new folders in Finder takes sometimes 10 seconds until a response.
In Finder, on a view set to "Arrange by: Kind", deleting all files in a category causes the header of that category to appear in a fixed position regardless of scrolling on top of other content.
If you try to open a network-shared folder on a machine that has been turned off Finder freezes, and keeps freezing even if "Force Restart"-ed through the menu or Terminal.

You're on /g/, not /v/, retard. Most people here need to run multiple VMs on their machine.
Long story short, get your work to buy you a good one. Laptop prices are higher for the same specs as they were in 2008 for some reason.
