Does anyone know of a good RSS generator? Online and free, of course. (If you don't why aren't you making one, for love of me?)
I know this was a bad /r/ thread, but I'm hijacking it to ask a question without killing a thread.
What's a good RSS reader that's an extension or a stand alone program (not a website). I've been using µrss for mozilla but I'm wondering if there are some good ones with an iota more features/eye candy.
relevant to my rss interests
I use http://feed43.com/ for a few feeds but its only good for slow ones
Whats the best file explorer on Android...
CM File explorer doesnt cut it. I then tried FX Explorer, which didnt function to my likings either.
Then I tried the ES File Explorer, but man, that piece of shit is bloated as fuck. I remembered it actually being good. Also, root access doesn't work.. because the dev hard coded the root directory wrong.
So, what do you guys use? That doesnt look like it was designed in 2006 and functions like old ES with root and without bloat.
Solid Explorer
Why do you have busy box, a terminal, xposed, 2 file managers, onion browser and as away on your home screen? Are you some sort of 1337 h4xx0r?

Why did I fall for the Nexus 5X meme?
The Apple iPhone 6S Plus doesn't have this problem.
>>55250321
yeah, cause subsequent updates slow the device down

I was hoping android N would come to my nexus 5.
So /g/, how many times has Microsoft tech support called you today?
They called me 3 times yesterday. Apparently I have a virus but they keep hanging up on me. I hope they call me again so they can help me sort out this mess!

Never, because I use Gentoo.

tfw i let them teamviewer into my gentoo computer one time
its funny watching them try to navigate openbox and look for event viewer
I let them remote in so they can help me setup Arch. They can never seem to help me :\
>Debian don't have any Netgear wifi adapter support
>You have to make black magic on Ubuntu to try to make it work
>You just have to download a tarball on Arch Linux and run a script
Why does Arch have a better hardware support ?
>>55249876
its possible to set it up on any distro its just easier on arch
git gud
>>55249876
It does?
I'm pretty sure that so long as you don't use debian stable you pretty much have all the hardware support on all distros.
>>55249876
>>55249906
Yeah and you can even install a kernel from debian-backports if needed.
Can Apple still innovative with Tim Cook?
Mac, iPhone/ Pad, iTunes all under Jobs. Can Apple still take the nessesary risks to innovate, or will we keep seeing the same repackaged technology?

I don't think it's about the risk, it's about having a vision, as overused that sounds. Steve wanted to go somewhere very specific, that's why he was so successful. If you know where you want to go, it's easy to streamline your resources accordingly. If you don't, your efforts will dilute and achieve nothing.
I don't think Apple has this vision at this point. All they seem to do is either naively extrapolating Steve's work (which often leads to really stupid ideas) or...

I think Windows Phone was pretty neat. I used a Lumia 950 for about two years and the live update tiles were cool.
Shame the app ecosystem never made it out of first gear.
I don't even give a shit about the whole "muh apps" debate. I have the apps I need. What I'm pissed about is I bought this fucking Lumia 1950, and Win10 is still glitch and buggy as all fucking hell. This shit should still be in Beta. Its utter fucking nonsense they put this shit out on the market in goddamn DECEMBER and its almost July of the next motherfucking year and I haven't seen any fucking improvements. I still find the aesthetics and ecosystem a lot more appealing than iShit and Android but once this phone dies on me, I'm just grabbing a fucking Android.
I also like windows phone platform and have no complaint about no-apps meme because I have all the apps I need on my phone. But the fact that Microsoft abandoned this platform pissese me very much.

What
how ot install a .sh file ob lubuntu?
whenever i try ./Unteralterbach.sh, i get a permission denied error. same with sudo command.
how will i fix it?
>>55249714
Right click on the file, go to permissions, check on "execute"
Or
Open a terminal there
chmod +x Unteralterbach.sh
sudo ./Unteralterbach.sh
>>55249734
i already done that. i get permission denied even with sudo command.
>>55249714
try pastebinning the sh file so we can see it. you probably need to run it as root though, but be careful what youre running. always check scripts to see if theyre malicious
Did Googles site design just change for anyone else?
It looks like bigger gaps between results, and less results per page.

Good morning
What is /g/ doing on this beatiful saturday
I'm currently migrating vmware VMs, because some employee of my customer gave some random "explorer.exe" admin rights.
And all of a sudden, everything was encrypted.
I powered up the replicas (which are located on some random NAS). Now everything has to be moved again to the correct datastore.

Anons who do programming-related work, do you still program as a hobby/in your free time?
Looking to get a new monitor. Currently i've narrowed down to Acer Predator XB271HK or a ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q. Any suggestions? How far do you think down the line do you think we are from complete 4k?
It'll be a couple of years before we can run 4k >60fps.
I would wait, these 1440P and 4K ASUS screens have a HORRID level of quality control.
>>55250807
seriously wtf is this. one of every two reviews say the screen is unusable.

Kind of impressed that it didn't break 65C on a stock haswell i5 cooler. Didn't think the copper slug would make that much of a difference. I took out my Geminii S524 because I'm tired of the way it mounts when I'm swapping cpus cause I get a wild hair. Looks like I can just stick with the stock i5 cooler no issues.
4.2ghz is stable at 1.29v but I imagine I'd break 70C.
i5 and i7 absolutely devastate that stock cooler.
4790K @ 4.9Ghz with 1866 kit & 1.388v. Shows 1.168 due to it not being pinned/benched.
>>55249706
Yeah I assume dual core and much lower tdp gives me a lot of headroom.
4690k at 4.4 GHz 1.250 vcore reporting in.
Supposed to be running 4.5 GHz, but my FSB is wonky for some reason and runs 3 MHz slower than it's set to in my UEFI. I tried raising it a little (to 103 MHz) to make up for it, but that introduced some instability.
Not sure if I dare raising voltage further with my current cooler.
What are your thoughts on Handmade Hero? On the community that it started?
I think thats amazing educational material, the good ol' way of game making.
