Are protective films really necessary for touchscreen devices? I think they''re important for anything that requires a stylus, but for devices that you only use your finger on?
Sand and a lot of grit that can get in your pocket is often hard enough to scratch the screen.
I'm a fan of the tempered glass protectors. They're just a sacrificial layer in case the phone is dropped or something in your pocket scratches it.
The only time my screen ever got scratched was when I put my phone in the same pocket as some change or my keys
Since I dedicated a pocket solely to my phone that has never happened and every phone I've owned since remained pristine
Pure, distilled snake oil. Literally never had a phone screen get scratched on me.
The Chinese have gotten into the Antivirus business.
The Chinese have been there for quite a while and have a strong domestic market presence
All the big players like Baidu and tencent and even much smaller ones have antivirus solutions
Debian or Ubuntu?
Any one knows what this device is called? And is it useful or good for exemple moba games LoL?
So /g/, which client do you use/recommend and why?
Currently using qbittorrent, but I'm pretty sure that's not the best the industry has to offer.
Am web developer. Looking for hobby project. Ideas?
Welcome to /mlt/. Ask all of your machine learning questions and data science general.
As I stated before I went on vacation, we're looking for devs to make a /g/ related metric webapp. Preferably using the MEAN stack.
Ideas and thoughts welcome.
So this comes out today:
> Samsung Notebook 7 Spin
> core i7 6500U
> 12gb ram
>1TB hard drive and a 128GB SSD.
What's /g/'s opinion?
I work in a place with sudden machine noises. The noises are not high enough to use hearing protection but we do it anyway because the unpredictable nature of the noise make active noise reduction useless. Hearing protection (passive noise cancelling) work much better at cancelling these noises.
Are there any headphones with good passive hearing-protection-like noise cancelling?
How to store shitload of small numbers in database most effectively? I am building school management system where teachers put students' grades and in big schools it would be a lot of it. Grade is a number from 1 to 6 so pretty small numbers. Would it be better to store it in some CSV file or still insert into database?
>I use duckduckgo, so my information is private!
>using windows 10
Why are you so retarded?
I have no big issue with using chrome or Windows 10. But using duckduckgo in combination with those is retarded because you're not hiding your info in any way still, from Google or Microsoft (and in turn Bing)
Short story here. Got Mi band 1s. Lost the "chip part" from it yesterday. I went to town going the way I walked that day and scanned the surroundings with low energy bluetooth scanner. Got lots of signals but no mi1s. On the way back suddenly "mi1s" blips on the screen for few seconds. The location was just some 50 meters next to where I walked yesterday. Went around that location but I got the signal no longer. The mac adress had the same beginning but different ending from what I have in my profile in mi band app.
So just to confirm with you guys,...
