Daily reminder that there is literally no reason to use Linux on a desktop. Linux is a server OS and anyone running Linux on their desktop is either 12 years old or an unemployed loser. It literally does nothing that Windows can't do better right out of the box. Enjoy your hobby OS, nerds!

I'm wanting to get into computing, but it seems as if I need to be good at everything to do this. I need to learn a shit load of maths, commands, operating systems, components, programming languages, networking, security, amongst other skills to feel like I'm even able to breach the surface.
How does /g/ cope with how daunting this work load is?

I used Cain and Abel to get a teacher's credentials; I then proceeded to get every final exam and got an average exam score of 98.
In our computer lab once, I figured out that you could mount any computer on the network as a network share, without so much as a warning message.
I told a friend and we would mess with eachother's desktops, delete shortcuts and send each other lewd things.
Other kids in the class caught wind of it and they started messing with everyone's desktops, sending pictures of horses fucking.
When someone figured out the teacher's computer was also available to mount from the network, someone went in and started deleting all his icons and dropping in pictures...
