How do we get more girls into programming?
I think they get discouraged in chauvanistic societies like US/South America and encouraged in others like Finland/Sweden.
0/10
we hit them
Let them do it if they want to.
And when in fact not many of them want to, don't claim it's oppression.

How can I make a 970 work in a mini-ITX build? Also, what's the least coil-whine 970 version available?

but brah that card gets pre long. I'm wondering if it's worth it to go mini-ITX or if I should step down to micro-ATX

I'm sure that's happened to a lot of us here, myself included. At least if you ever do need to take it out for whatever reason you can.
>tfw 2 1/2 laptop's in your household
>tfw none of them ever leave the house

wow, me too. Is this common?
This is a completely serious and sex robots are tech related
When will sex robots be a thing? Based on what?
>holes that feel just like the warm thing with warmth, wetness and tightness adjustment
>possibly organic?
>maybe even vibrating holes too
>real weight
>can anamatronically move and do sex positions like cowgirl, doggy
>possibly even coded to do X
>take asimov
>put into realdoll body
Why would I want X on a sex robot?
They better have some better display server by that time!

I just sent my 15-year-old niece a link to python.org with other links to thenewboston.com and YouTube.com on Facebook so she can start learning Python 3.
What have you done to help get more women into coding /g/?
>>45428889
I meant cousin. She's not my niece.
why do you call it coding?
I bet she will not even look at the links
Alright, /g/, I'm trying to build a pair of over-ear headphones from scratch. They are to be circumaural. They will include 4 drivers per cup. Where should I source the parts? Money is no object.
>>45427496
>4 drivers per cup
Enjoy that nigrabase.
>>45427504
Well, it will also need a native 4-channel EQ per cup.
I'm not sure how to proceed in a multiple driver circumaural. Simple lumped element models break down in the highs of a headphone, the most difficult parts to tune and control for, and multiple parts don't make it easier.
I could sort of envision a two way coaxial driver, why the 4 drivers?
What is this? No battlestation thread
Gotta fix that

Actually I just got my new camera. Nikon P600.
All the mess is because I was unpacking.
Do you guys know of any women who are both feminist-esque and actually good at what they do?
Anecdotal evidence is fine too, I just think it's hilarious that most of these women in tech who are piping up so loudly have mostly contributed absolutely nothing to any OSS or really even been employed very long outside of 'professional talking head'.
Pic very related. Joan of Arc.
>>45423964
Depends on how "esque" you're thinking. I know a couple female network engineers that make about 16K/year less then their mail counterparts.
All they want is to make equal pay, and they are as good, if not a touch better, at what they do.
>>45424008
*male counterparts
Been a long day, and I actually do need to go check the mail...
Funnily enough, the actual feminists don't get internet famous, they just get ignored.
Didn't see any in the catalog soo...

What kind of specs are on the latitude?
D620?
I have one in storage somewhere and I'm thinking about transplanting an SSD and 4gb+2gb ram into it. Or does it not support that much ram?
>balancing laptop on tower
Doesnt this block some exhausts and just increase the chances of you possibly ruining your laptop by knocking it off and having it fall to the floor and shatter to pieces?
>>45419471
It's a D820 with a centrino duo, 2GB. i use it as a seedbox, so no need for SSD or anything. And I think it's 4GB max.
>>45419480
Well first, I never approach this corner of the desk, so no chance of knocking it, and the case is rather wide so it's not "balancing". Second, it has a magnesium rollcage, so it won't "shatter", the harddrive will lock itself, that's all.
Looking at your desk, it looks like you...
