Hey /sqt/ a little video card advice if you will.
Looking to buy my gf a new card for her setup; currently she has a GTX 560 TI, now would we get more power for my money with another 560 in SLI or going for a 960 or 970?'
She's a digital artist mostly using Photoshop, Krita, Mischief, Autodesk, Manga Studio, etc..
Wouldn't that be a downgrade from what we currently have?
why not /g/
9 hours without a thread, that hasn't happened for a while now has it? That dust on the griffiti, Its a great pad but it collects dust like a mofo.

changing ports around because ISPs are garbage and adding encryption is not as simple but there are tutorials on that as well. good luck.

Linux is pretty damn great
GNOME/GTK+ criticism thread.
Which person thought that this was a good idea? Now you have to spend more time moving the mouse cursor to get back. Unless you're one of the 3 people who use GNOME software with touch-screens.
The UI for Boxes is about as retarded.
When it's first opened, there's text in the middle saying that no boxes have been found, and the user should create one by pressing the button on the top left. Why the hell is this text itself not accompanied by a button (or a link) instead of giving directions? It's as if someone at least partially realized there's a problem but couldn't quite figure out how to fix it.
Pressing the "New" button in the top left corner of the title...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
This has nothing to do with tiling window managers. Do you even know what tiling window managers are? Because if you did, you wouldn't be making such inane comments.
This is just the new retarded, probably standard way of displaying sub menu items in GTK+ software.

Can never tell if I like the blue of your wall or not. Like the speakers though.

New Stupid Questions Thread /sqt/, old one about to 404
Does cf-root work on custom roms? I installed cm12 on my s5 and somehow lost my root.
Ive got mint installed on my laptop, when I connect it to my 27" monitor and set the resolution to 1920 x 1080 it doesnt go full screen and has black edges.
When i set the res to 1680 x 1050, it fills the whole screen but obviously zoomed in a bit.
What do I do?
google is no help
I plug in my external hard drive and I can't find an icon for it anywhere. It's normally in the sidebar or computer folder, but it's not there.
terminal says it's mounted... I forgot how I got to that point cuz I was googling
In my (3rd world- MENA) country I'm considered a straight A engineering student. I probably (with little or no effort) could lend any internship available on the market. (I have even been proposed positions in local companies even before graduation)
But when I try to land something "international" (Canada and US mostly) my application gets rejected in record time.
Do you think I'm doing something wrong (culturally, formalities.etc..) or these companies simply don't want someone from MENA region ?
Amazing graphical design. Genius invention of live tiles in the start menu. Updated icons to match the modern feel and look of the glorious Windows operating system. Innovative "Power Shell" command line that blows away anything Linux has to offer. I'm sorry to say this, but 2015 is the year of the Windows desktop. It's over, Linux. It's over.
