Are there any actual advantages to DDR4 over DDR3?

DDR4 isn't DDR3.
Hi /g/
I'm hoping to get my hands on some mobile device forensics software, such as blacklight or lantern 4. I understand how dangerous this kind of software can be when I'm the wrong hands so I can see why someone who has gained access to it wouldn't want to share it. I'm just hoping to restore data from a device with a broken screen, the screen cannot be replaced as it will void the warranty of the device.
Alternatively if you have another idea for restoring the data on such a device let me know.
Cheers!
if the screen is broken and the warranty wont cover it, there is literally no reason to just tear it apart and replace the screen. nice try though, i will give you credit for putting a new spin on the 'how do i bypass icloud' thread
The device has already been replaced under warranty, well a new device was given to the owner and it was requested that the old device be sent back. I was hoping to restore the data for the owner before they have to send it back... Absolutely no malicious intent here.
give the phone back jamal
Im building a new pc but i dont know part my price range is 1200 to 1500
>>50801684
Congratulations you decided to build a PC
Now go learn about parts on your own
If you don't understand the parts you might as well not build it

I bought a retina macbook pro 1 month ago, I can't return it. I'm considering selling it and putting a preorder on the surface book.
Is windows 10 really a shitty botnet and something I can be concerned of?
When you get it install gentoo

Is this phone still good?
No.
it never was
This has gotten drowned out in sqt like 4 times in a row so I might as well put it to a thread.
I just installed a new power supply since this one is modular and the old one wasn't, but as soon as I went to turn on the computer, it just goes into a boot loop (turns on, stays for a few seconds, then shuts off suddenly, etc.). I tried not using the graphics card, changing the ram slots, and using the old power supply to no avail. I've also rebuild most of the system over again but still no success. I'm starting to think it's a motherboard thing since...

Who is this testical receptacle?
>>50801193
Guessing you don't have a friend with a spare motherboard you could try? Best thing I could recommend would be to try different parts with all your hardware. Switch the ram sticks out with different ones, etc.. If you can't then maybe someone else will have some advice for you.
What is the cheapest vps provider that takes yearly payments?
>>50801178
don't think it's the cheapest, but purevpn is one of the few vpns that has worked reliably in every country I've visited.
>>50801205
Thats a vpn, not a vps
might as well ask the fbi for one
what would be the cheapest SSD you can get?
4GB would be sufficient, everything over 4 would be GREAT.
it has to be faster than a 2007 5400rpm hitachi laptop hdd.
I want to revive an old laptop and slap a light linux version on it
I'm looking for something under 30 bucks since the laptop is almost useless anyway.
If you get a cheap SSD it's pretty much guaranteed that it will have a shit controller, which means that over time, performance will severely degrade, to the point of mechanical hard drive speeds. But since you asked, here is a list of some cheap SSD's: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/internal-hard-drive/#t=0&S=8000,32000&sort=a10&page=1

>If you get a cheap SSD it's pretty much guaranteed that it will have a shit controller
well I hoped there are older (ok) SSDs that are just technically obsolete and not actually just new developed shit quality.
like a ssd that was considered good in 2012 or something.
but thanks for the link!
Cheapest shit I could find when I needed an SSD was a $35 Muskin 60GB. Unless you go mini-PCIe, then you can find cheaper and smaller ones.
What are the best speakers to pair with the Lepai 2020 A+ ?
Would like to keep cost under $200
I use these with it, sounds great.

Hey /g/,
Looking for a cheap water cooler, in the $50-70 range.
>inb4 get an air cooler for that price
Needs to be 120mm, as I am very limited on space in my mini-itx build (also the reason why I want a cheap water cooler instead of a good air cooler)
I've narrowed it down to either the Corsair H55 or the H60, but I'm not sure which one is best. I saw a graph saying the H55 cools better in one place, the opposite in another.
TL;DR: which is better? Corsair H55 or H60?
Neither because in that price range the cost vs. actual effeciency is laughable.
Either you invest in an actual water cooler or you don't.

lets go cheap on a water cooler. nothing could go wrong

Hey /g/, just got an older laptop, its a Toshiba Satellite with a dead harddrive. I am wondering if it is worth getting a 120GB SSD or a 7200rpm 500GBharddrive for around the same price. (http://www.ncix.com/detail/adata-sx900-2-5-128gb-ssd-f4-70079-1928.htm VS. http://www.ncix.com/detail/seagate-momentus-laptop-thin-2-5in-46-94660-1306.htm). Would an ssd in a fairly basic 4gb ram/basic ati gfx laptop make a difference at all, or would it simply be a waste of money.
>>50800318
get a cheap SSD for it, it will make the computer feel like a new machine for general use (not games or anything).
Also, an SSD is more suitable for a laptop because it won't take drop damage like a hard drive will, no moving parts.
>>50800423
thanks for the input, I was kind of leaning that way with that idea in mind. The laptop has a sata port on one side so I can always get an external if space becomes an issue, without dealing with esb 2 data speedsu
>>50800318
Like the other guy said, get an SSD. So worth it, also a 7200RPM laptop drive will vibrate the fuck out of your laptop. At least it did for my relatively thin dell. It fucking shook whatever desk it was on.

Hey folks, after about a decade of maintaining a bare-bone, cheaply made website for a series of postcard shows I help with, I’m finally making the jump to do some real web design. After looking at some HTML5 and WYSIWYG editors, I figured I’d pose the situation to you guys for some constructive input on what I should be doing, what tends to work for this kind of page, etc... Overall just wanna rattle off some ideas and hear what you have to say. I’ve gotten some excellent insight from y’all in the past, and thought I’d heave myself at your mercy again.
