>>50809453
Looks like a thread I have seen a few months ago.
Anyone else getting tired of how quickly technology is moving now?
As soon as I buy something I feel like it's already outdated.
>go to the google store
>buy new flagship android phone
>OS support already dropped by the time you get home
bad feel
>>50809409
use well written, lasting technology.
then you don't get that feeling.
>>50809409

Can we agree that Matrox makes the best gaming cards?
amd and nvidia is shit
matrox is best
matrox is best for gaming
matrox is best for 3d stuff
matrox is best for mediacomputing
matrox is for tech geeks
matrox is real
>>50809213
holy shit, I haven't used matrox since the late 90s. I had a demo of hexen 2 that came with the 1/4th of the game (blackmarsh) that came with the card I had.
>>50809213
tbh this is the first I'm hearing about this company since the late 90s.
>>50809213
>Includes destruction derby 2
Yeah i'm fairly sure OP is right, matrox are the best.
Does /g/ visits lainchan?
Whats it like there?Community?
Why is it so dark?
Are they legit about tech and "cyber" stuff?
They are full of shit. Also, the mods/janitors/staff there delete posts a lot.
lainchan is like an intelligent version of /g/, without the shills, but it's slow
whats the best fractal generator?
>tfw you finally remove noscript and enable cookies
I know that feel OP. I used NoScript for a good year but eventually you realize that the effort doesn't outweigh the very rare threats.
and a few (days) later.....
>>50808714
I felt glad removing noscript and started using umatrix, much better.
Any improvements at around the same price range?
I'm shit tier at Computers, my friend recommended with with a budget of £1000
Looks good man. This is my build atm, on a budget of around £800-£900, yours looks pretty similar
>>50808904
This question might seem stupid as fuck but, how do you have the same power supply as me, but £70 cheaper?
>>50809013
that's a 600W power supply you slow fuck
What would you say is the best laptop to use for university? Implying that you already have a desktop to use outside of lectures/ seminars etc.
>>50808593
why the fuck would you need a laptop? the only time you should be leaving your room is to go take exams, which don't allow the use of a laptop.
A netbook or ultrabook for portability.
The ux305 is pretty light for a low price.
>>50808593
ultraportable, preferably with digitizer pen so you can write equations and draw graphs.
If you're on a budget and can't afford a surface or thinkpad yoga, you can get this:

My good old Corsair HX620 PSU that I bought 7 years ago finally bit the dust.
What's a good replacement? I'm eyeing two different PSUs which are the same price from where I'm looking to buy.
Corsair AX760, this one is made by Seasonic with double ball bearing fans. It's a couple years old. Read somewhere that it's just a rebranded SeaSonic SS-760XPII but don't know if that's true.
or
Corsair HX850i. Made by CWT. It's a newer design, and got some Fluid Dynamic Bearing bearing fans. Also some kind of digital link...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I've had really good luck with EVGA power supplies, have you looked into any of their offerings?
evga supernova 850 g2 is awesome
>>50808167
Not too much, I heard EVGA were really good for like cheap gaming rigs, but that you wanted something from Corsair or Seasonic if you were going for something a bit more premium. Correct me if I'm wrong though, I'm totally fucking out of the loop with this shit.
Firefox is give or take as popular on windows 10 as edge
Any thoughts?
>>50808095
everyone with half a brain doesn't use windows 10.
>>50809424
Elaborate
>>50810239
are you on /g/ for the first time or something?
how do I install windows 7. Had 8 pre installed on it. Laptop is Aspire E 17 ES1-711-COY5
>>50807811

>>50807860
/thread
>>50807860

Is there any point in buying a flagship phone instead of mid-tier? Which mid-tier phone is the best?
Pic related- It's a Desire 626g+, kinda considering it
Get the LG G2
Posting from the desire 816, pretty decent, seems to hold its own
>>50807743
