Now, who's really the stupid one here?
Is Firefox 40 the last good version?
I'm still really pissed off they removed browser.newtab.url in 41, and 38 ESR is no good because it doesn't support Youtube HTML5.
>>51233012

install an add-on or switch to normie chrome

Use an add-on.
>>51233012
No, firefox 3.6 was the last good version. Install Palemoon.
No time for love

I melt them down usually.
Kinda just for fun, i could care less about the information on them.
What a joke.

That's what happens when you have a team of competent devs instead of offloading the programming and optimization to Nvidia Goyworks™.

Should I just give in /g/?
I just set up my rig again after it being offline for 10 months. It hasn't gotten any windows updates in the past 10 months at all, and auto updating is off so its recieved nothing from microsoft.
Should I just go ahead and update to 10? Or should I keep living without telemetry as long as possible? Is there any way to know which windows updates are the ones that install the telemetry features on 7 so I can avoid them?
The copy of windows is pirated so I'd rather not have a watermark in 10, but I guess thats an easy fix....

bumping
i-i dont know what to do senpai
i think about this to much. i have /g/ to thank for that. making me paranoid over the years with botnets etc. in the end ivve come to this conclusion. just live with it. install 7 and keep it updated. if Microsoft was really spying on u as much as /g/ thinks it was. then they would get sued .
>>51233097
I kind of have that attitude too, but I feel like this is the last thing I have left before giving in completely and just not caring so I can't decide

-------------------------------------
Schillsaver is a program that allows you to en/decode any file(s) into a video that can be up/downloaded from to YT or any other
video hosting site for free file storage.
The current process takes forever with large files, see the tests below, so it's currently only somewhat useful for small files.

The latest version can be downloaded at the following...

The new version should be out later today. I won't be able to test every single possible way to break the program on my own, so expect a few bugs here and there, but I'll fix 'em up right quick once I'm notified of them.
I've had to learn some CSS to style the interface, so the buttons are a bit iffy looking (although the look is growing on me slightly).
Everything seems to work a lot more smooth/quickly than the old Swing interface, the native file chooser can be used instead of the shitty Java file chooser, and you now create "Jobs"...

won't youtube just mangle this with lossy compression? is there a size limit where it won't do that?
>>51232892
With the program's default settings, the videos are "compressed" to a point where they're still perfectly fine to download and decode.
All of the settings where we've achieved better ratios result in YouTube's compression doing too much damage to the video or not having supported colorspaces for YT to use.
>still using a kernel whose main developer says he doesn't give a shit about security
What's your excuse, /g/?
HardenedBSD with Hiawatha-webserver in a fucking Guantanamo Jail.
Only NSA can hack me :^P
Still better than NSA/Windows

Where's your source, faggot?
I'm trying to root my Moto G LTE but I can't boot into TWRP no matter what I fucking do.
Help me /g/ I am so damn upset right now.
I'm able to ./fastboot flash recovery twrp.img (pic related) and that works. But I can't actually get into TWRP from there. I tried holding the volume buttons and power button. I tried random commands.
Help?
I'm following these instructions but I just can't get into TWRP.
It just boots the phone again and I have to start from scratch.

kinda obvious, but have to ask.
did you unlock the bootloader?
Is this a good UPS to buy?
>>51232697
I'll vouch for that one, I have the 1350VA version and its been working great for a year and a half now. 28 events and counting.
>>51233557
Not OP, but is there a reason why anyone should buy a pure sinewave UPS? Or is it just marketing snake oil?

So, what do you say now Firefox and Mozilla apologists? Or believers that ad-ons can save you of feature take outs?
Mozilla has made another big step on the Chrome road, to be as stupid and minimalistic as Chrome!
Enjoy, Google Chrome clone fags :)
>>51232399
You know, I'm okay with this, under the condition that there will be an add-on to add the functionality back.
>>51232716
You Firefox apologists are really the greatest stupid cunts after all.
Will you assholes never learn?
Why are you still using FF. You should have switched to Pale Moon a long time ago.
Why are you still using the most harmful init system of all time for GNU/Linux, /tech/?
systemd is:
>bloated
>viral
>not portable
>a fractal of bad design

Good Alternatives:

GNU's dmd
BSD-style init
busybox init
even sysvinit

It's running well on all my production servers.
So far, the only people I've found that hate systemd are:
>bsd-babies who can't pirate linux software as easily since they have systemd dependencies
>idiots who don't know how to setup their fstab correctly
Arch on laptop.
FreeBSD on server.
No one forces you to use systemd, there are plenty of alternatives.
