1 selfish bump ;_;
why is it so hard to find a proper build up in my music without looking at other songs..
>>51256807
I really don't want to install Adobe Reader, and FoxIt looks like it's become sketchy recently, and the Windows built in reader is somewhat lacking.
What's the best option anymore?

mupdf is the shit.
if you don't want to use it directly, zathura is a good frontend

I've noticed several weird things happening on my NEW laptop.
First the shipment arrived in my city at the estimated date BUT got sent back to the main office for 2 days
Second the CD-ROM drive opens randomly
Third Windows 7, the OS, asks me for the password to my VPN and proxy(never happened before) and VPN and proxy runs just fine without having Windows 7 know my password.
Am I being watched?

This thread is about the appreciation of watches, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that is required to make a fine watch.

Took my 007 camping for a couple of days and remembered what a great watch it is. It got rained on and muddy and banged on rocks and it didn't skip a beat and the lume was perfectly visible from sunset all the way to sunrise. Is there a more perfect beater watch out there?
>>51256332
I took a hell of a spill in some mud on a mountain with mine on. Quick run thru the shower and tried to get the mud out from between the rubber strap and watch and it's good as new.
>Is there a more perfect beater watch out there?
Probably not
Decide my next watch.

Every other video players only go up to 100% volume, but VLC goes to 200%
that feature is kind of nice to be quite tbqh

>>51256156
You can set the maximum volume to any value you want in mpv in the settings and it will do software gain increases past 100%, just like VLC.
MPC-HC also allows you to boost the levels by around 400%, but they don't integrate it into the volume control.

Are you getting one, /g/?
Only $3,100.00.
this is like selecting every single option in the mac pro configuration and going LEL $30000 MAC.
if it had a clit mouse i'd be really tempted. the helix gave me a serious chub when it came out and the 3:2 on this does so even more
can't afford a $2k laptop. I might be cannibalizing one in a few years though.
No, it's meme hardware. My 7 year old p500 laptop still works perfectly and that was $400.
Getting a new 2k monitor
Thinking about getting 144hz but its about a 200$ price jump for the size I'm looking for.
is it worth /g/?

why is this suddenly a thing? why not just call it the actual resolution like we've been doing for years
>>51255916
short hand, its not like there is alot of different resolutions we are talking about. maybe though, saying 1440p would have been a little more soesific

>tfw on BSD
>tfw no bloated init systems and kernels like Linux, OSX and Windows
Yes, BSD is fairly nice. The base system is beautiful. Well architected, well documented, everything is shockingly simple and flexible and nice.
Support from third parties could be better. It's kind of annoying how much FOSS software follows hardcore Linux-isms and uses Linux-specific APIs, and depends on the systemd Suite of Madness, even when they provide no benefit over plain old POSIX.
I've only come across a couple things I wanted that weren't ported, though, and didn't run perfectly under the Linux compatibility layer (such as Steam)....

>tfw not on BSD yet
Maybe once December rolls around I'll check it out (on Arch right now). If it doesn't work out for my desktop due to not having drivers for my audio interface, Non DAW doesn't work etc. it'll probably still go to my server or be a base I run Linux on somehow. Hopefully it turns out as great as I think it'll be.
>>51256296
Well, do you have any questions for BSD users? I'm kinda bored and might be willing to field whatever I'm capable of answering.
