Will a Macbook with a quad core 2nd Gen i7 and 8GB RAM be powerful enough to run a DAW for recording multiple tracks and plugins?

Isn't there a command for linux which undo sudo commands?
What are ya hacking with, /g/?
To upgrade or not to upgrade is the question.
I've been rocking a 2500k since 2011 and was pretty content with it (had it paired up with a 6870) until recently. I am now getting stuttering in games and just not very satisfactory frame rates. I put in a 970, and while boosting the over frames, I still had stuttering, and really bad coil whine (I RMA'd) it.
I'm now at a loss at what to do. Could my frame rate problems be related to the CPU? Mine was manufactured in Costa Rica and I never got it stable 4.0+ on a 212+. Under load, underload it goes up to 60C. This is still well within thermal limits, right?
What to do /g/?
I need home speakers without cables. Any recommendations?

also, yeah linux has to be a meme.
I've tried plenty of distros, I currently have Lubuntu because it takes very little to get it running but it's got more bugs than the swamp where I buried my wife.
I'm almost admiring for your sense of picking shitty distros.
Guess we've got an entitled piece of shit right there.
Everything I love turns to dust.
okay /g/, shit just got real.
About 30 minutes ago i noticed my internet connection was starting to get really shitty (massive speed drops etc.)
I did the usual, reset router (even reboot) but nothing changed.
Just out of curiosity I deactivated wifi and boom I was back to full speed (my desktop is connect over LAN).
The only thing connect via wifi was my phone.
Did I truly become part of the botnet ?
WPA2 with a complex password is hard to crack with brute force. Turn off WPS pairing to limit your attack surface.
Use a mac address whitelist if you are paranoid. It's kind of redundant to run one though since anyone technically sophisticated enough to break into your network could just spoof their address to match one of the mac addresses that was already connected to your network.
Other than the Qnix Evolution II, is there another 1440P monitor that goes beyond 75Hz and retails for less than 400USD? If it has an IPS panel, even better. Also, general gaymer monitor shit.
