So let me try to understand this.
>/g/ loves technology
>/g/ loves Linux
>/g/ probably builds their own computers
>/g/ probably puts decent hardware in their computers
>/g/ hates Unity and Gnome because it takes up too many "resources"
I understand if you're running a really old Chinkpad, like a T61, but how the fuck can you possibly not be able to run Gnome or Unity?

wasted resources are wasted resources, anon
i COULD run gnome or unity, but they both contain no features over my current openbox/tint2 setup that i want
so it's not really "why don't i use them", but "why should i use them"

F I N A L L Y
Wasn't that already a thing for android?
I remember downloading offline parts of the map (smaller ones, though) when I was in Prague this year.
>>51281610
Finally indeed, this was on and off in some parts of the world, glad to see it working globally now.
>>51281640
Some parts had this, but most of the maps were not downloadable(like 95% were not), now it appears that all are.
hey /g/, I need to learn all about data structures in C(lists, queues and stacks) for a class in college. what are the best books or websites for me to do that?
wikipedia articles should suffice
>>51281550
Maybe you should've attended the class that came before it and probably was named something like "algorithms and data structures"?
Regardless, for trivial data structures like those (and even slightly more complex ones) Wikipedia is more than adequate.
I can't quite understando my teacher, and I'm really bugged with the functions she writes for us to use. I want to learn it deeply, for me to be able to write my own function within these algorithms
Now we have 3 or 4 new boards, When we will have a programming/compSci board, i'm getting sick from gadget/shill threads
Won't happen.
>>51281467
I think a general engineering board would probably be better served.
It would filter out a lot of people from /sci/ and here who actually want to make or design stuff but yeah it's probably not happening.
>>51281467
I come here for shit like /sqt/ and other things like that, and I think it would be great if there were a separate programming/compsci board. Programming threads are of no interest for me.

Apple CEO Tim Cook declares end of the PC

Does this mean apple will finally switch to arm?
What's taking them so long? RISC > CISC
Fuck this asshole and everything he stands for.
>Why would you even buy a PC anymore?
So I don't have to be kekolded by anemic hardware and a shitty toy mobile os.
Tim Cook & Jonny Ive only made Jobs' stuff thinner and painted it gold.
Fake and gay.
why are you not using midori?
why are you waiting... for firefox to get better?

I'm hovering over the checkout button for the Nexus 6P.
Is there a reason I should not buy this?
My current phone is a Note 3 that I've had for about two years.
Get a Nexus 6. The 6P is utter trash. Not worth it.

What do the nvidia shills have to say?
Besides the usual like amd housefires (which is wierd because only nvidia stuff starts fires) and poorfags?
Not much.
This is why AMD has a tesselation slider.
Wish we nvidiots did.
>>51281049
Sometimes, I wonder why I chose to buy an AMD card. This is definitely not one of those times.
What have you guys found so far that you plan on getting?
so far I've found a few things
>Surface 3 (2g ram model) - $399
>Acer CB3 11.6" Chromebook - $99
>128gb usb 2.0 flash drive - $19.99
>some 40"-49" 1080p LED televisions - ~$150
>43" 4K LG - $399
feel free to talk about black friday
Anything from here worth getting? Or should I hold out?

>>51281042
that LG Black thing seems almost worth it but I don't know much.
the ADATA USB 3.0 128GB is okay. as long as it's under $0.25 per gb it's good I think.

Sennheiser hd598 - $99
I've just finished building my new PC build i7-6700k asus z170-A, and windows 7. And I have a problem. Every so often the computer freezes. Completely locks up and requires a hard reset. As it freezes, whichever audio device is outputting at the time let's out what I can only describe as a horrible death screech. Originally googling suggested it might be the realtek audio driver, so I removed that but its still happening. Has anyone experienced something like this?
Windows 7? Why senpai?

Complete spec would be helpful.

Well, sitting 8+ hours a day listening to the music, I don't know what to listen to anymore. I almost feel like I've heard it all. I'm waiting for some recommendations, /g/.
