I've been searching for a better VPN for when the TPP comes a-nockin'.
Does anyone know of a VPN that is based in a country with no extradition laws with the US, isn't part of the TPP and is lax on piracy?

Try PIA
Let's see those drives /g/. What are you working with?

I hate windows 10 botcock, but I gotta admit that the explorer looks pretty nice.

What do you do /g/?

"My computer has confidential information. Whatever you your technicians will do must be under my watchful eye."
Or, you could simply encrypt your files like any sane human if you know in advance that they'll ask.

Repair it myself.
/g/ in 2015, folks.

I'm not a mactard and know how to fix my own computer and keep my important data on external drives.
Theres a hackathon going on near me and they don't usually happen so close by, so I signed up without even thinking about the fact that I don't really know how to do much.
I'm in my second year in school, it teaches C++ I've taken the introduction course,
a class on 'Object Oriented Programming' and about done with this semesters Data
Structures class.
The hackathon is taking ideas from the community then our team picks one for us to work
on, its supposed to be an Android mobile app and from what I understand that means...

I never understood the hackathon meme. Why should I disrupt my autism and engage in social interaction when I can achieve my goals want from the safety of mother's basement?
>>51304266
C++ is magnitudes harder than Java.
Most people do a tonne of Java courses at uni but since you're pressed for time just do the Codeacademy course that just popped up, should be fine. Hackathons exist for businesses to get programmers to solve their shit for free, go and use it to learn from more experienced programmers.

You shouldn't. Enjoy your basement.
What are you working on, /g/?

hey we're like one big family, we're all pretty reliable to each other.
the guy running pomf ran it for like 2 years free, kept everyones files, and announced for months before shutting down before it got too expensive.

I'm friends with the owner and I let him look at my porn subscriptions.
What would you upgrade if you intended on keeping this machine another 2 years, /g/?
I'm thinking making the following changes:
1. Upgrade to a 500GB-1TB SSD with a larger HDD that only stores music/videos
2. Upgrade the CPU fan/other fans and overclock the processor
3. Double the RAM
BTW Speccy doesn't report accurate numbers for temperatures at all.
>>51304223
Update that trash video card.
A real CPU and mobo now.
A real GPU later.
More memory much much later. Wait on SSD's. M.2's are gaining traction and will become much cheaper soon.
>>51304286
>A real CPU and mobo now.
Nah. Got too many other things to pay for that are important.
Funny thing is, this was my secondary computer that had to become my primary because my main one's PSU fucked the entire machine. I usually make mobos/CPUs last 5 years, and I bought this machine in 2013. If I can make it do for 4 years, that will be fine considering its original purpose.
SSDs are already fucking stupid cheap compared to what I paid for that stupid OCZ.
How usable is MenuetOS?
I know it's still beta, but will shit like 4chan and YouTube work in the internet browser?

Should NASA receive federal funding /g/?
NASA has in the past promoted many scientific advancements technology and scientific wise, so, should it be funded?
surveymonkey com/r/7P6JVLL
>>51303782
Just FYI, but I found out recently that NASA actually makes a 7:1 return on tax money year-per-year, and it's a lot more efficient with their use of funds, compared to government entities like USPS that have been bleeding money to better ran private delivery services like UPS and FedEx. 7:1, as in, for every 1 tax dollar that is provided to NASA, 7 additional tax dollars will come back.
I thought it was bullshit, too, but the guy I was talking to said that NASA functions as a business in an area, and...

NASA (or any generic space agency) should be one of, if not the largest-funded government agency.
nah, i heard nasa was reading everyone's emails
So have any of you freetards gotten Fallout 4 to run on Linux or BSD yet? What's it like having to fuck around just to get games to run?
>>51303766
I doubt a game that doesn't even run well on windows will run on linux.
The game has been out for less than a week you absolute goober.
It'll never come to Linux. You're stuck with tux racer.
This is intentional. The owners of the game don't want you to run it on Linux. This is the life you chose.
