So /g/, I've tried setting up a EC2 g2.2xlarge instance for gaming, set up my stream, configured all the encoding and shit. Using ZeroTier for steam in-home streaming.
Currently getting 60fps (because of my 60mz t440s screen), without any noticeable delay at all. This shit works goddamnit, why aren't there more people using this?
Pic related, avg. spot hour prices on the eu-frankfurt serverfarm.
My result on cloudping.info, currently on wi-fi but cabled has got 30ms or something among those lines. In steam in-home it says 18ms, again on the cabled side. We've got 50mbps currently in my household and getting upgraded to 80mbps on the 1st of January. I live in Denmark.
Noone? :) To people who hasn't tried it, did you know that the possibility existed?
Are you using spot instances to game? I guess if you lose the instance it's not too big a deal unless the game is super important to you. Aws for multi boxing might be interesting
Hello /g/,
My laptop just broke down, so I'll be buying a new one this afternoon; it is possible to uninstall the new, default windows 10 and put 8.1 instead?
Sorry if that sounds like a dumb question, but I know it was an ordeal to put XP instead of 8.1, so I hope it's not the same.
It's never a good idea to use outdated software.
>>51450103
Do you have a licensed copy of Windows 8.1?
>>51450114
Basically this. Windows 10 fixed the flaws of 7 and 8.1 as M$ learned their lesson due to their failure.
Windows 10 is future proof due to DirectX 12 and a has that familiar Aero glass look and start menu.
If you still want 8.1, go right ahead. Unlike OSX, Windows has backwards compatibility and will run all your software no matter which version you install.
If it wasn't dead yet
it's dead now

Soon you have to use it if you want to install new drivers.
ITT the oldest file on your drive.

What are you working on, /g/?
First for C.
First for functional programming is fucking retarded.
First for people who like traps are 100% faggots.
porgramming in MIPS assembly
So I have two tables, and I'm trying to set "projectScore" equal to "projectAvgScore." I tried just making projectScore a Foreign Key in the PROJECTSCORE table, but I kept getting an error in foreign key constraint of table. I've spent the last 3 hours trying to fix it but can't fucking figure it out.create table PROJECT (
projectID int(10) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
studentFName VARCHAR(20),
studentLName VARCHAR(20),
projectScore int(2) NOT NULL,
divisionNum int NOT NULL,
categoryNum int NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (projectID)
)ENGINE=InnoDB;create table PROJECTSCORE (
projectID int(10) NOT NULL,
projectAvgScore int(2) NOT NULL,
judgeCounter int,
scoreSum int,
FOREIGN KEY (projectID) REFERENCES PROJECT(projectID),
PRIMARY KEY (projectID, projectAvgScore)
)ENGINE=InnoDB;
The SQL command should be:INSERT INTO PROJECT (projectScore) SELECT projectAvgScore FROM PROJECTSCORE WHERE projectID = 1;
This adds a projectID = 21 instead updating projectID = 1
I plug it in and it's detected but it doesn't mount anymore. I tried reinstalling the drivers and changing drive letters but it doesn't work.
Has the NAND fucked itself up?

yes. they're cheap as fuck anyway, buy a new one.
Why isn't that loli looking smug anymore?

What does /g/ think about Intel Goldmont, Silvermont(Tock)/Airmont(Tick) successor, the Tock in Atom core development?
>Atom
>>51449385
I'm really excited for new Atoms desu
I want to see a 10w Atom desktop SKU, that shit would be great.
The 14nm cherry trail atom chips were already breddy good. If these have a higher IPC they could compete with chips like the exynos 7420.

Would it be possible to transmit to AM radio frequency on a HAM radio if all other communications went down due to a natural disaster? Not asking if it is legal just if it is possible...
Pic related, but not me...
>Pic related, but not me...
thanks for the heads up, I would have thought you were an astronaut in space otherwise
>>51449404
some fags are way to dumb if I say pic related...
>>51449286
Regardless of whether other communications are down, it should work. You would have to swap the crystal or oscillator in the HAM radio with one that generates a suitable frequency for AM, and presumably crank the power up a bit if you want it to go very far at all.
One project in some electronics kits for kids is a very low power AM transmitter. It's amazingly simple and can transmit to regular AM radios in the same room if you choose a frequency that isn't taken.

Does /g/ buy engineering samples?
I'd be interested if I could get a source and if they were reasonably cheaper than retail

Cleaning time, /g/.
Already did a bit on the numpad.
I had a keyboard like that. Brings back memories.
It was nowhere near as filthy of course.
Use whatever works, right?
