Sup /g/.
So, im poor and wanna build a pc, this is what im thinking due my low budget:
Grafics: gygabite radeon r7 240 2gb gddr3
Processor: intel pentium dual core 3ghz 3mb cache lga 1150
Motherboard: intel pentium dual core 3ghz 3mb cache lga 1150
Ram: hyperx fury series 4gb 240pin ddr3 1600
Harddisk, cabinet and power supply unknown.
Any suggestions to have a better performance and still have a cheap price?
Also, which harddisk and cabinet should i buy? (least expensive ones) my budget is around $5000 mexican pesos. (mexicanon here)
Thank you on advance.

Shit man, that budget is really low.
Honestly I recommend you save up some more. With that amount of money you have to either buy used parts or buy really shitty new parts. You can't enjoy your games if you're constantly at 30fps on lowest settings.
Do you have a mouse / monitor / keyboard?
>>51472350
Yep, i have them, shitty one tho. Yeah, thinking on waiting till next year and save more money.
Btw, im a filthy casual playing in a shity computer at potato quality, so everything is an upgrade.
>>51472450
What are your current specs?
Which games do you intend to play on your new system?
Are you shitting me?
Look at this shit.

Read access memory gentlemen. Im confused about their speeds. Iv read some things and I keep coming to mixed conclusions.
Is 1066mhz ram to slow for modern gaming?
Iv been out of the game for a while. Some things i read say that the ram speed is a moot point, and others say its important. So im buying a motherboard for $200 and it takes 1066mhz ram. Am i wasting my time buying this motherboard with such slow ram??

>DDR3 3000*(*OC)/ 2800*/ 2666*/ 2600*/ 2400*/ 2200*/ 2133*/ 2000*/ 1866*/ 1600/ 1333/ 1066/
that's the slowest it will handle but it will take faster ram if you want
>>51472091
What this guy said. Do more research OP, that motherboard will handle much faster ram than 1066
Your MB supports up to 2400MHz dual channel DDR3.
RAM is completely useless above 1600MHz single-channel unless you are using an AMD APU or have specialized software that can take advantage of the speeds. RAM is basically super fast storage which stores program data for your CPU to manipulate quickly.
Speeds for single channel DDR3 RAM are:
8.5 GB/s for 1066 MHz
10.6 GB/s for 1333 MHz
12.8 GB/s for 1600 MHz
14.9 GB/s for 1866 MHz
So in the end any kind of RAM is completely since you are going to be using a dedicated GPU anyway.

Which PC should I buy, then?
Regulars to these boards might recognize me from my monthly audiotech threads. I have pretty much often advocated that anyone with an hearing accurate enough to so much as be able to recognize distinct notes absolutely MUST have at least a 150-200$ dedicated soundcard (no, you shitty onboard solution is NOT acceptable, you cheap dumbass). As always I'll refrain from shilling specific brands or models, but instead give you the guidelines with which you can arm yourself while looking for your own solutions. A good output-SNR rate is essential (input not so much for the regular audiophile, unless you create your own music), with anything bellow 117db being the most absolute garbage on par with listening to music near a pride rally. Support for 7.1 surround sound is something that shouldn't even be said, but way to often I see even so-called experts completely ignoring this on their recommendations; don't embarrass yourself, a card that doesn't have so much this is a card you don't want to spend money on.
Converting your audio files to a lossless format is pretty much a given, FLAC being the go-to format for both economical and technical reasons. Regardless of which format you prefer, it absolutely needs to be lossless. Storage is cheap now, you have absolutely no valid excuse to remain using obsolete compression in exchange for a horrid sound quality. Lastly, a bone-conduction earphone is essential for the audiophile on the go, but can be skipped by the casual dilettante in favor of a cheaper headphone in the 70-100$ range.
So no, it is NOT necessary to fork over thousands of bucks in a proper sound setup. Buy smart, not fancy.

WOW, Nvidia is shit.
I suppose if you're one of the few people who pay $400 or more for GPUs it's ok because the 980 kinda competes with the 390X (a bit faster, but costs more) and the 980 Ti is obviously better than the Fury X, but on the mainstream market Nvidia...
