Hey dudes I work at wal mart and we carry around Motorola MC55's to scan shit. I accidentally brought one home with me (forgot it was in my pocket) and I was wondering is there a way to get the Wal Mart OS off of the device and run Linux or even Windows mobile ?

I use it for a HTPC since I got it so cheap. Really it's overkill for that though. A Haswell celeron will play 1080p fine.

Hi /g/. I have a media PC connected to my TV. It's an old Dell Optiplex with a Core 2 Duo, and 2GB of DDR2 RAM. It runs Vista just fine, but I recently bought a new wireless keyboard and trackpad combo and it comes with Windows 8 shortcuts. Should I upgrade it?

Hi everyone. My mums old Nokia phone that's going to go out of service on the 1st of December. Therefore she needs a new phone, and we've had trouble figuring out what one to get.

I have just moved to germany and all i hear is that the germans are very strict with torrenting - seeding to be exact, they also dont have a problem with downloading copyright material if it over HTTP like Megashare or something.

My options are to sign up for something like megashare - which i have been advised to do.

or, stick with torrents and use IPVanish to Switzerland, where they take privacy seriously.

Anyone have experience with this or a suggestion?

I live in Germany and use IPVanish for torrenting. It's been pretty good so far but I think I'll go PIA next time again. The better IPVanish speeds simply don't warrant the higher price for me.
