How the fuck do you guys stand using Java? I have to use Java for my programming course but i already broke my fingers due to its verbosity.
Almost threw out the computer when i tried to port my C SDL game to java, number of code lines trippled.
Are there any non verbose graphics/multimedia libraries for java?
>>51505763
Use a different language that also lives in the jvm, like clojure.
Java is for wasting time and causing rmi.
>number of code lines trippled
Bullshit. If anything, it had to decrease. You are just not good at Java.
Also, use auto complete.

Are my speeds shit?
>Samsung 850 evo
Yes because it's plugged into a sata2 port. You're getting half of what you paid for.
>>51505816
I've read that the difference between sata2 and sata3 are only noticeable on benchmarks.
256GB 850 EVO for 99$? Yes/No?
Do proprietary compilers inject botnets into our binarys at compile time? I mean you can analyze small ones but not bigger ones. Imagine every .exe is a botnet and big companys like antivir actually ship botnets instead of antiviruses.
Just think about it
Java could be botnet free due to its easy decompilation
But compilers like msvc could produce botnet binarys every minute worldwide
>>51505571
of course. the intel and msvc compilers insert weaknesses to all crypto graphic functions so while they appear secure in design and implementation actual binaries produced can be backdoored easily. this is why truecrypt had a successful audit but the NSA can still break into truecrypt containers if needed as it was compiled with MSVC

Also, how do you know if routing is static or dynamic?
Am I the only person who thinks 1440p is a small stopgap and will be obsolete in a years time due to 4k monitors becoming cheaper and 2016 gpu potential being able to handle games at 4k60?
I need a reason to upgrade my 1080p monitor but I just can't find a good enough reason to go 1440p.
>>51505315
No shit, Sherlock.
4K too won't last for long, at least not in gaming.
I have had a 1440p monitor for 5 years (dell u2711). They are great. I will replace it in the future with a 3440*1440 wide monitor.
>>51505350
>4K too won't last for long, at least not in gaming.
It'll become the new 1080p. Basically the bare bones standard. Consoles will probably be able to achieve 4k30 when the next gen comes out 2 years and midrange gpus will target good 4k performance.
Any higher resolution will be for the hardcore. I can see 4k being the standard for a long time.
Whats the cheapest way I can keep my ativity from being tracked online by my ISP and the NSA? Is Tor still safe? Or should I just buy a VPN like everyone else.
>>51505212
What do you plan to do that would require you to use a VPN
>>51505212
VPN will hide you from your ISP and thus any silly copyright claims. NSA has got your balls no matter what. So just suck it up.
daily reminder the NSA owns a LOT of exit nodes
Is there any real difference?

Am I a douche wanting good microphone technology for teamspeak?
>>51504980
ye
u should kill urself
If you truely want good sound, you need a boom mic and a boom mic operator. Or are you too poor for good sound?
>>51505027
Not necessarily. An average condenser microphone and a few noise reduction filters through Audition will do.
I use a USB Rock Band microphone mounted on a £10 arm/clamp and a £5 pop screen and get fantastic sound for Teamspeak/Voice overs.

Since looks like win 10 will never stop being spyware and my 5 years old windows 7 install is so fucked up that I can only use 2 of my 10 USB ports and I need to chant ancient dead gods spells to plug any device I must format this thing and do a clean W7 install
What is the best way to do this to restore my stuff with ease?
I have everything on a 500 GB SDD and my other drives are just stored shit and I have a 2TB external drive for backups, so I could do it manually but maybe some shit was released in this 5 years to help with it
