Let me start off: Can anyone please find a PDF link for Color Science: Concepts and Methods, Quantitative Data and Formulae ? I'm starting to think it's impossible to find
How come on my Android device my Twitter feed is full of images, but the same feed on my computer most of the images aren't there?
I've looked in the options but to no avail...
Reposting from last thread:
My audio levels for mkv files are currently fucked for some reason. I'm using MPC-HC and different parts of the audio fade in and out randomly, making it painful to listen to. I don't have any problem with anything else though. Music sounds fine in foobar, and mp4s sound just fine in MPC-HC.
What the hell is the difference between volts, amps, and watts?
Please be very specific. I know very little about electricity.
Java or C#? Which is better?
Face it /g/
In a couple of years we will completely dominate the industry. Your government knows how shit you are at programming, and IT: so they opt to import us superior techies instead of your sorry NEET ass.
How does it feel knowing your company will fire you once they learn Indians are better in every way.
There's so many of us, that for every job you apply for. there will be 10 times more of us who are magnitudes better at technology than you.
Might as well just give up and go back to playing your...

It's that time where I need to get an upgrade on my GPU.
I'm split between 2 decisions, gtx 970 or a sapphire r9 290x?
I can't afford an that are more expensive, but I'm swapping out my radeon HD7950
so... which one?
Honestly if you have a 7950 I'd hold out a year and see what the next generation for video cards bring.
The 7950 still runs games decently, and it's likely that the die shrinks on the next generation will bring significant performance gains.
I also have an AMD 9590 CPU, is it also logical to get the 290x based on that?
yeah I mean it runs fallout 4 absolutely perfectly (apart from CPU overheating, but I derped and didn't apply enough thermal paste)

What's the best way to put surveillance equipment in my room? I live in a fraternity house (inb4 judgement), and some black guy stole a 500G SSD, my AKG Q701s and my GoPro from my room last Saturday.
I want to put a camera in my room to make sure that I can catch people on camera next time they break into my room. Is a wireless camera my only option? Is there something a little less noticeable that I can use?
invest the money in strong locks for your door. also the frat may help you out if they don't want police involvement walking around inside their house because of illegal goings on inside
Also do you play with Vsync-On/Off?
What are you waiting for /g/? I just ordered a Moto G to replace my current piece of shit Zenfone 2. Fortunately it won't be here until next week.

What are working on, /g/?
Building a Lisp, implemented in the following way with the help of Objective-C, YaCC, Lex, and itself:
This Lisp is called Valutron. It is architected as an integrated compiler-VM; essentially, this means that code, when entered at the REPL, is first converted into Cons trees, and then mapped down to primitive operations at the stage of evaluation. These primitive operations control a register VM, which operates on Cons cells and Objective-C objects representing Lisp values, and which is implemented as threaded...

How often do you change your PSU /g/?
Lets say I wanted to make an exact clone of 4chan...
How would I go about doing that?
Would I need any special hardware to rune the servers on my own? Should I have a professional host it?
grab tinyboard, cripplechan's software
also this is now a Katya thread
>turn on computer so I can shitpost
>get greeted by hard drive failure/disk encrypted/computer not booting because ninja niggers stole it right from under your nose while you were sleeping
So, how does /g/ backup their data for when shit inevitably goes wrong?
I did have a carbonite account...but everytime it wanted to back, my computer would slow to a freaking crawl. And I use my computer are variable times so it's hard for me to schedule a specific time to actually do the backup. Plus it seemed like it was literally constantly in the middle of a back up. It never finished, it was under constant back up mode which was really really annoying....
So for at the moment I'm using the Windows Back up push system image backup to my external 1.5 Terrabyte drive.
Out of the Python books listed on the wiki, which is best (or is there a better book that isn't on the list)? Money isn't a problem by the way.
>Invent Your Own Computer Games with Python
>Starting Out with Python, 2nd ed.
>Think Python: How to Think Like a Computer Scientist, Ver 2.0.12
>Learn Python The Hard Way, 3rd Edition
doesnt matter that much just start and dont bitch by looking for the best way once you understand the basics everything else will come. if you know what python version you want to learn (I would personally say 3 I love to use python 3 its easy) just start wich feels best to you
How in the SWEET fuck do I permanently get rid of this unnecessary bullshit when using CMD or powershell?
Without installing gentoo of course
What's the average wait time for an account?
