They're trying to get computers into the hands of as many people that couldn't normally afford them, and no cheap ass TV has DisplayPort.

You do know display port was created by Apple right? :)
Is Gridinsoft Anti-Malware Legit? Got a malware issue recently about AT&T tech support that is very likely fake.
Pic related.
>>51542911
At the very least, it doesn't contain any spelling errors in that screenshot you posted, and it looks good, which automatically eliminates a lot of the obvious spyware.
>>51542950
Yeah, true. I did some background checking and he has a Twitter and company and blog that deals with current adware issues. So he's either dedicated or legit as far as I can tell.
Taking a shot in the dark and scanning with it. Got thousands of toolbars I don't remember accepting. I might have allowed the Ask Toolbar at some point, by accident.
>>51542987
Yeah, the guys behind this seem really dedicated for it to be malware. They have a blog as well:
http://anti-malware.gridinsoft.com/blog/
I would say it's legit.
Hey /g/ I've been a laptopfag but I want build a gaming rig (and some use for my research sims) and I'm looking for top tier performance like 4K and >60 fps on modern games. What GPUs and CPUs should I be looking at for Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Total budget is around 1500 and I already have a mouse, 2 monitors (one 4 K other is 1080) and a mech keyboard. Suggestions appreciated.

now fuck off
4k 60fps+ on decent settings? want it to be able to do that for more than just one year? think about sli'ing two 980tis or, preferably (I think, go look up crossfire vs sli benchmarks) crossfire two fury x's. You can't do 4k and not have a shitty pc when you're not ready to spend about 2k
though you could if you find two 980tis for real cheap, go with a 4460 with a cheap mobo, a sandisk 128gb ssd, 8 gigs pretty cheap ram, cheap case and a good (expensive evga) psu you could probablt manage
5820K and a 980 ti
Is there any way to make an SD card operable again after it got corrupted due to not following the proper procedure while ejecting it?
Never had an sd card corrupt, what is the procedure?

All you have to do is not take it out when it's transferring data.

>spending more than $3,000 on a computer
You better re-assess your life choices.
Especially two >$1,000 980 Ti cards and ~$600 1,600W power supply
>>51542699
It really depends if you consider your life choices and how important your computer is in your life. I thought about it and realized I spend more time with my computer then friends, family and co-workers. What the hell it could only get worse from here might as well do it with something that you know you love.

Jesus christ OP, don't you have a tech-literate friend you can run this by?
This wasn't worth killing a thread.
I have a big movie collection any way i put them all onto my external hard drive?
btw i have windows 10 if that helps

literally every movie ripping software is absolute dogshit.
slow as fuck. converts it into stupid file formats. ridiculously large file sizes. and to make matters worse, refuses to skip over any read errors.
you can go through a 2hour movie, but then a read error occurs from a scratch on the disc, instead of doing the smart thing and skipping over the two seconds that are fucked from the scratch, the hour you wasted trying to rip the two hour movie is trash and wont save because the credits skipped.
tl;dr...

THANKS YIFY
Are there any cheap (including black friday/ cyber monday sales) over the ear, closed back headphones that sound decent?
I'm about to put in 6-8 hour study days, and since I do most of that in the library I want some headphones that'll close me off from my surroundings.
Being decently portable (folding up etc.) would be nice so I could use them on the train, but not really a requirement.
I currently use a pair of PortaPros which I love to death, but they don't isolate at all and they leak out all my weeb music.
Thanks
I'll bump with cool wallpapers then

Which one /g/ ?
ur mom

Both
Pi Zero has no wifi, and you probably don't have any Mini-HDMI cables already because nothing else uses that port. So that makes up the cost difference.

How do you guys install arch ?
Arch iso vs architect iso
I don't. It's Debian sid for babbahs and undergraduates.
Arch iso is a lot easier. Architects gui just added a lot of extra screens for no reason.

Please help, /g/
Is it normal to bend the pins (pic related) of components that are to be soldered to a printed circuit board?
I'm asking because I want to fit the PCB inside a box but it might not fit because of the height of the pins when they aren't bended
>>51541764
Not really, depends how hack it is.
Do the pins line up with your solder holes? If so, through holes, solder, trim.
If not, I'd run wire to solder points.
Bending is an option, but not a good one, as a bend can break connection
>>51541792
Thanks a lot.
I don't have a board yet. I have to be custom made.
I guess it might be better to find a box with more height unless it's normal to make holes that line up with with the pins.
Is it worth buying an ultrawide monitor?
what kind of question is that? make your own decisions this isn't hard to figure out
depends on how you are going to use it.

He wants some feedback from some Anons. He doesn't want buyer's remorse.
For OP : some /g/Anons regretted it because it's too large.
Maybe a /g/Anon with a 21:9 monitor will make you change your mind.
