Today was my co-worker's first day on the job. He brought his generic laptop with him.
How the fuck can they ship an OS that can't even open a .dmg with a password? How is that good?

Welp, I feel fucking stupid
I ordered the GTX 960 SSC for black Friday and when it finally arrived I put it in my computer only to discover that the 6pin to 8pin power connectors that came with it aren't compatible with my psu.
What kind of connectors do I have to get to power the gpu?

It's like they have so much money laying around that they don't even care about burning it on pointless projects like this. I'm glad my $130/mo for TV/Internet that I'm sending to Verizon is being put to good use...

Has anybody here been crazy enough to try and setup a car subwoofer with amp up for use with your your computer?
I read into it a bit an people generally say to use a spare PSU to convert the 120v to 12v
i dont know if thats a good idea or not
Any help?
Not sure how well it would handle the surges. A cap would solve that.
>>51639467
any idea about grounding?
the amp had a huge ass grounding wire in my car
i dont know if thats only a worry cause it was a car though
>>51639509
Ground is the return, not an earth ground for the chassis. Car is all metal so they use the frame as the common return instead of running another wire to everything.
You just use the ground for the 12V.
>everything must be oversimplified, otherwise the user might get lost in the eternal void of the internet
>also all the content must be only in the middle of the screen, otherwise if they try to move their heads too fast these might get unscrewed and eventually lost

No matter what the replies are in this thread, know that not everyone here is racist.
Racism is alive and I am truly sorry for the wrash that will come (people calling you the N word).
I hope you will not be offended by some immature brats on this forum.
Good luck.
Bring it back Tyrone.
Trying to figure out if I should keep a Sony bravia 3D 4K 55X850C or If I should return it for a Samsung SUHD 4K 55JS7000. Which is the better 4K panel /g/? any other better suggestions in the 1000-1300 price range are appreciated..
>>51639045
Maybe wait for actual 4K content?
Do the research yourself this place is full of poor morons. Go to rtings.com and look around there for a good start. Use their review guidelines to narrow down results from looking at their site or others. Judder for movies and tv is a huge issue, input lag for gaming, brightness if it's in a bright room, glare from light sources depending on screen type, sound quality if you don't have separate audio, bullshit gimmick smart features that most people never use, 3D that most people never use, the viewing angle if it's not viewed straight on and so on.
>>51639227
>viewing angles
Thats why you buy an IPS panel retard
>input lag for gaming
You wont notice it even at 40ms. If you think otherwise, you're living in 1999 or don't own one. UB8500 says it has like 56ms. Only time its noticed on the TV is when you turn on 3d and it jumps to like 200ms. Anyone that says you need <5 ms is a teenager that has no fucking clue how shit works in 2015.
ITT you help out a nice anon friend.

Just wondering if an upgrade to an i5 4690k would actually be a real "upgrade" for gaming. I'm using a [email protected] at the moment, Had it for a couple years and I've really not seen that much of a problem with it. I do dip below 60 fps here and there but really not to bad. Should i? Or no bueno.
What GPU do you have?
You don't need to upgrade a [email protected].
You need to upgrade your GPU.
