Why would you buy anything BUT an Intel SSD?

I've had my SSD for 2 years now and it works fine, i think i'll be okay senpai.
I have a toshiba drive, kingston drive, and a samsung drive. None have died, all work perfectly.
I guess the sticker looks pretty nice. That is the only difference, right?
I have a question, how to maximize Macbook's battery lifespan? I mean, should I let the plug stay there or disconnect when its full? Also what percentage should I let my battery fall down to before I charge it back?
This is really confusing, some said I should disconnect their computer from the mains power supply, some said dont. Help me.

Don't let your battery fall below 17% charge. That's the point where the jews at Apple start to deliberately sabotage your battery life because you're a "power user."
At the same time, don't let it get about 76%, because Apple's firmware will think you are always on the charger and boost performance by fucking your battery over.
Don't disconnect the computer from the mains power supply.

There are three ways to try GNU plus Linux, you can:
1) Install a GNU plus Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as fedora-wearing scrubs, are in fact, neckbeards, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, 23 year old bums living in their mothers basement plus dank memes. A neckbeard is not a man itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Mountain Dew ecosystem.
I'm a web developer who has ended up taking on more sysadmin-like responsibilities over the years. So I've picked up a decent amount of know-how from setting up web servers and debugging issues with them, but I've never run Linux as a desktop OS (at least not long term).
I'm thinking using it on a laptop day-to-day will expose me to new problems and solutions to them. What distro should I try out though? I use mostly CentOS in my work, so perhaps Fedora? Or maybe I could get more out of it using Arch, but I don't know how much of a time investment...

I have this shell script that takes music from /playlist, then plays it, and then moves it into /played.
It is working fine but how do I make it so that the loop ends when /playlist is empty?#!/bin/sh

forgive me i'm not familiar with the syntax and shit for shellscript, but couldn't you just do something like count the files in your folder and if it is == 0 do something

It has rubber grips which you will not like if you have sweaty hands.
It's expensive because of the unnecessarily high DPI.
There are better ergonomic right handed mice if you're into that kinda stuff.
