Well what i can do with this shit? Already learned it but is useless
shit anon, i'm doin dat course on codeacademy, and now u sayin it's useless? fug
stop being stupid and think of a project to do? python may not be the most appropriate for doing sometging, but you can do enough things with it.
or get a rPi and do some fun gpio stuff
>>51689834
>but is useless
if you're fucking retarded, sure
python has a shitton of libraries, you can do just about anything

admit it, you bought a antec 900 back in the day because you thought it looked cool..
its so cool it sits next to my bed unused since 2010. So cool.
Nope.

I bought a cooler master stacker back in 2007 and have stuck with it so far
Just fucked mmy tv/monitor, what parts are salvageable?
What parts are broken?
Every part that isn't broken is salvagable.
Where did you insert your penis?
the table probably, i bet you scratch it
Ask someone who uses a PS4 as his main PC anything.
Why are you so poor?
How do you intend to do any sort of word processing or install productivity software on a video game console?
>>51689169
Not poor, I make upwards of $75k a year.
how do i get a job when i'm not any of these except maybe i play league of legends?
>>51688789
well, it's not a very professional sounding job vacancy. they are probably going to overwork and expect whoever comes in to carry the weight of the company because the person who wrote it is incompetent.
>>51688789
Only <1% of professional developers would qualify for that job description.
I work for a great company and don't even have a github profile.
I could probably describe how a red-black tree works at a high level, not implement it. Don't know anything about data compression. I don't play normal people games and can't into big data.
>>51688789
I don't really know much specialization stuff but I'm a super quick learner. I can probably do everything there in ~2 months.
What's your current cpu governor and hotplug and which do you think is best for battery life. Also, what phone do you have?
Just rooted my g3, installed fulmics with gabriels kernel. Alucard hotplug and darkness cpu governor.
>>51688728
Note 2, using pegasusq as my governor because its the only one that is developed by Samsung themselves and doesn't lag like zzmoove. Pegasusq is literally the only good governor on Note 2.
>>51688887
Zzmove has multiple profiles.
Try profile 8, it's pretty good.
Smartmax and MPDecision for battery life.

Well, grats, anon. I caved in and joined the military.
Ok, so what key do I press to check the box for a mirror?
I don't want to hit Enter and select no mirrors.
God Linux is so fucking STUPID.
space bar
Try space
If not, it's probably enter

Any Google Cardboard users here?
I got one of the kits Verizon was handing out to try it out, but it was pretty disappointing because of how pixelated it looks. I am using an LG G4 with a 2560x1440 screen. Would it be any better with the Sony Z5 Premium?
>wanting to get a new phone to use a cardboard box
Literally fucking kill yourself
>>51688372
Its going to look pixelated up until you get to 8k resolution, the technology isnt mature yet
I use plastic molded cardboards just for comfyness, if your concern is pixels then I'm half surprised you can see them too badly at 2560x1440, but then again I've seen them at 1024x800, so I might ignore the blockyness because of how much better it is than before.
You could wait for VR headsets, 2nd gen would surely be 4k, but if you want something now than the 4k sony is your best choice, but it probably won't be perfect.
Try one in a shop first if you can find one.
A flagship iPhone 7 with a 4-inch screen and specs that match the 4.7 inch model would be great. I currently have a 5S, and I love the portability of it. Also, fuck the curved edges on the 6 and 6S.
enjoy your headphone jack
IPhone is a joke. Can't even tap to pair. No filesystem.
If the iPhone 7 doesn't have qi charging at the price they charge I'm going to laugh.
My nexus 4 had it, my g3 has it, fuck apple.

I went to turn on my desktop and there was no visual display. Everything seemed to turn on fine. I reseated my Graphics Card and my RAM and nothing. I also tried changing my HDMI to be hooked to MoBo to test to see if its just my GC and I still got nothing. I know the HDMI works because I tested it on my laptop with the same display.
I'm not sure what it could be. What do you guys think?
Broken monitor?
>>51688120
do you get a post beep?
if you have an AMD CPU, did you actually insert it in the socket or just on top of it? Sounds stupid, but my friend did this. If you have intel CPU, don't bother checking because it wont be that.
Have you also tried not using HDMI?
If you remove the heatsink and the CPU is stuck to it, that's your problem. You will need to clean off the thermal paste using Arcitclean or Isopropyl alcohol, and put new paste on.
>>51688195
I reseated everything including the CPU chip. There is no post beep, but the onboard graphics didn't do anything. We also tried with a DP cord.
Why aren't people using BSD over GNU/Linux? I thought BSD was supposed to be better.
>>51688112
because it came out too late
>>51688112
linux works for me and Ive never been given an obvious reason to switch to a BSD
>>51688112
Ive tried a few times to switch to BSD, its pedigree, the idea of a complete system as a whole and not disjointed systems glued together, the documentation among other things i find really enticing.
It all comes unstuck when i want to do things. I find linux is the equivalent to plug and play these days. You can boot a live cd, install it and be done by the time you take a shit. Fully functional, like windows or osx right then, of course you could patch and add new shit but as a base instlal linux is pretty...

What do you prefer and which one? Pros and Cons?
>>51688031
>WM
pros:
you don't have to use the mouse, aimed at more advanced users who are not afraid to read a manual or use a trial and error approach to learn how to use the software.
cons:
It just manages windows as the name says and pretty much nothing else. But they allow you to extend the the functionality through scripting, which is a good side and not really a cons
>DE
cons:
offers a similar experience to what most people are...

Tiling WM are somewhat pointless, at most you might need 3 different windows open at once. Typically for reference or feedback/debugging. Any more than that and you are only dividing your attention. Human beings are not very efficient multitaskers by nature, and things like twitter and email feeds serve only to distract you.
Good DE's are controllable solely through keybinds. Hell even OS X's Cocoa has system wide, definable emacs keybindings. They offer a layer of consistency too which is nice.
WM. I use vim and sublime, a firefox fork and URxvt, thunar and an image viewer that needs to be compiled from source. So preinstalled software is actually a con for me, in the sense that I'll just have to uninstall it.
Other than that, I enjoy config files and find it nice to just use xorg-xinit without messing with a display manager.
>>51688433
mm tiling is really helpful if you're on a laptop or one monitor, or if you're reading off a man page. I do a little web stuff on my laptop, nice to have...
