So has there ever been bigger of a flop than the SP4/SB debacle?
>Significant battery drain during sleep (Some people report 50-80% during 8 hour sleep and messing with settings and configs leads it to be 1-2%/hour instead. Still warms up the bag.
>Constant GPU driver issues, crashes, failures
>Mechanical hinge on SB has started to wear out on people, store displays basically don't work after a month of release
>Connection problems and issues of the SB tablet and keyboard, random issues and crashes requireing a reset
>All review units of the device had a faster SSD (Much faster) than what they decided to put in the consumer versions that people bought
>Glass bends down whenever pressure is applied to it a la a pen so it's like writing on a plastic sheet rather than glass
>Some people have their screens literally bent, as in the device was't manufactured smooth and flat but had weird bends
>Win10 has serious problems with drivers, even doing shit to fuck up Surface Pro 3
>Still has serious throttling issues, people say the i7 version of the SP4 is maybe 20% better than i5 because it throttles almost immediatly upon use
All for $1000+ for the SP4 and $1600+ for the SB
Don't be a fucking lieing shill, it's rampant across the entire line of devices to the point where aanandtech themselves got a faulty device (Normally manufactureres would sub out lemons unless of course all of them do that).
And who brought up the ipad, what does shit eating have to do with your shit eating?
List the current apps in your phone
My phone doesn't have apps, it only has pre-loaded, competently programmed, useful and ad-free programs built into the operating system.

How many bullshit diversity positions are we gonna be seeing?
These job titles are beginning to sound more and more like parodies.

Roombas are technology, who has one?
Hey /g/, have you ever cut your sim card? I have to cut mine to fit my N6 but I'm scared to fuck it up, how easy is it to fuck up and kill your phone?
/g/reetings, i recently purchased a new gpu on cyber monday to replace my aging hd 4550, but when i put in my new card, an r7 370 4g into my A75A-G55 mother board my monitor receives no signal and the audible beep that usually signals a proper boot is absent. all the cables are properly plugged in, the card is seated, and the 600w power source should bwe enough to run the card properly. Ive checked all the forums that have similar problems and tried all of the offered solutions but nothing is working. i also tried the card on a friends computer and it worked fine. Is there anything...

I'm really pleased with my idea of /build/ and subreddit-ization of /g/, it's way easier to find things around and less trash on the front page.
So this is my programming / office machine for 345$, found a sweet ass chiclet keyboard / mouse combo for literally 10$, what do you think?
Let me see dem builds!
Sublime text or Atom?
> sublime text
> Ubuntu with unity
Literally cancer. Install a real distro. Use emacs or vim and then install rat poison. At the very least nano.
Switched from Sublime to Atom at least a year back. I can't remember why I like the latter more. I think it was because it was a little bit nicer to look at, and it had a real config UI instead of text files. I guess that sucks for the guy who made Sublime solo, to get outdone by a bigger team with a bigger budget making a modestly superior product. For what it's worth I had a legit sublime license when I was using it.
Second z170a m5 mobo using 6600k and crucial ballistics ddr4 ram.
First one wouldnt post, would only post with sticks in 3/4, and will boot with one stick in the 2 slot. Wont boot in dual channel slot setups. Tested it outside the case, multiple psus. Second mobo gave me the EXACT same issue. Did i get two dead boards in a row? Also updated bios on both, adjusted voltages, no luck. Should i get a completely different mobo? Or perhaps its the ram? I dont know how it could be the ram though... it posted fine with one stick, tested both. Havent had a chance to try another...

I spent like 30 mins one time trying to figure shit out, thinking I did everything right, including checking RAM
then I checked RAM very carefully and found that I did it wrong, and success.
>too poor to afford back-up storage or proper anti-virus
>using a vulnerable Microsoft developed OS
I-I'm scared /g/
when i was on windows i'd install the nod32 trial and then pull valid licenses off websites that would usually last me for a long time. i think the latest edition of nod32 has effectively killed that though.
I have a problem
After dusting my PC the gpu doesn't output video but the monitor gets a cable disconnected prompt when I unplug the HDMI cable from the GPU (R7 260x, factory OC)
I've checked and everything is plugged in the way it should, I reseated the gpu repeatedly and nothing works
I also tried a VGA cable with a DIO adapter that is confirmed to work with this gpu-monitor combo from before
Apart from rip gpu, what could be wrong?
I hate stuff like this.
Possibly try and reset the bios? Maybe the video is being output through the cpu's gpu?
Recheck the pcie cable is completely plugged in at both ends again.
Test another PSU if available.
Do you hate these question threads or this kind of issue?
I'm going to try a CMOS battery reset because the onboard gpu is kill from long ago, and I don't have another PSU handy. Thank you for your attention, I will update soon
Is comcat or at&t less likely to email me telling me they will shut off my service if i keep illegally downloading stuff. It happened to my friend. He had comcast and they emailed him telling him to stop torrenting music and stuff and he got in trouble. Im scared that will happen to me..
Don't download from public trackers and you should be fine. ISPs usually don't care about your traffic, so they will only notice when copyright lawyers contact them with your IP. They usually only get your IP when they connect to a torrent you're connected to. So that should keep you covered.
Would you use this software /g/ it if existed for Linux?
