Are you doing a computer related major?
Less cores = less energy and heat?
Just set my g3 to 3 cores instead of 4 and it's still running very smooth, will I see an improvement in battery life with one core disabled, or will the work being done on the 3 remaining cores cause worse battery life?
I'd imagine the phone would run quite cooler with one core disabled though.
Also, phone battery life thread, let's discuss our battery life, phone usage, and what we've done to achieve that.
My battery life is 4.5 hours SoT, browsing /g/, listening to music, random web searches, just general light use, on 4g.
Using fulmics rom and gabriels kernel.
Cpu governor: darkness
Gpu governor: simple
Undervolted and cpu running at 1.9ghz instead of 2.5ghz because it used to get quite warm.
Interesting, I have one hour sot right now, just browsing 4chan.
I must say that the g3's screen eats up alot of battery, but when I'm just listening to music, it lasts me about 1,5-2 days
Running chupachups rom 3.0, forgot what kernel.
It's all I need, would run other android roms if it weren't for the retarded quick options they use.
How do I use gimp to draw? Like size brush, tracing, etc
> image manipulation for webdev
That's incredibly specific for a program with such a huge feature set.
And what does image manipulation for webdev mean exactly? Website design is mostly done in markup languages.
>tfw your whole hostel is watching a yify rip and you're doing everything you can to hide your power level

How long has it been since you replaced your ..
> TV/PC Monitor?
11 years, 720p Samsung TV with a large dark blotch towards the side. Waiting for 4K to take off.
> Phone ?
2 months, LG G Flex 2 replaced previous Moto E
3 years, Asus Vivobook, looking to replace to play Coaster World and Cities Skylines at a decent pace, but reasonably strong laptop.
I'm running an r9 290 and a FX-6300 with a WD 2TB HDD.
What should I upgrade, if anything?
An SSD might be an option.
Would it be worth it to buy an 8350 if I don't do any video encoding or editing?
If I don't upgrade, I'm at least going to buy a Hyper 212 Exo and OC my 6300.
BTW, c# for your backend.
Which would you rather have to use every day for the rest of your life, you can't ever make modifications.
>i7-5820K & GeForce 7950 GT
