Is the Surface Pro 4 the best thing a student can buy? Is it good enough to use as an all-in-one solution for note-taking and productivity?
Yes. Though you could probably get away with a Surface Pro 3 for cheaper
No you fucking retard
>>51884381
Explain yourself, please.
What the fuck is this shit?
>Not filtering generals
What the fuck are you retarded?
>>51884237

Why are you complaining again?
So where is the line for water cooling > noctua d-15?
I keep seeing it perform better than water coolers and also at the same time comments that the radiator fans are louder than the noctua under heavy loads
Is this eyesore just flat out the best option or what?
http://www.relaxedtech.com/reviews/noctua/nh-d15-versus-closed-loop-liquid-coolers/1
The D15 is so good it triggers clc babbies who rant and rave their product - which only cools better when making more noise - is somehow superior to the cheaper D15.
For a second I thought you were talking about real water cooling.

>49c delta at 45dB
Now, I haven't bothered to overclock my 4790k yet (although they haven't pushed theirs very far) but doing the same test (Prime95) I'm at a 39c delta and around 30dB with two idling 290s in the same loop.
>>51884397
Reviewers really should test high end coolers (be it air or clc tripe) on a 9590 - that would seperate the men from the boys.

That kind of bullshit has been around since long before the rise of ad blockers, and it hasn't become any more frequent since.

I prefer AIMP because I like it's playlist based interface and the fact that it supports Opus.

I love phonograph but it has a lot of bugs
Netease because i'm pooe
Neutron Music Player.
It's the best at its job despite the UI being crap.

Brutal honesty is appreciated.
I already have the ssd, hdd, and case.

Not bad. CPU cooler may be a bit much, but everything else seems alright.

You have an overclockable Cpu with a motherboard that doesn't support overclocking.
>SSD fucks up because I stupidly put a swap partition on it
>have a 300GB backup 10k RPM raptor
>plug it in
>it fucking sucks
IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME
FUCK
So... no swap partitions on SSD's then?
>>51881996
>putting wrote intensive partition on ssd
How dumb r u?
>>51882013
Swap Partitions rack up the R/W cicles on ssd's like there is no tomorow.
Besides ram is faster you don't need swap when you have ram.
>TFW your company's IT department just tosses out perfectly good blackberrys, business laptops, desktops, monitors, and other electronics when they are out of warranty.
Seriously. I go into the boiler room all the time, and there is a 4x4x4 box of perfectly good Dell latitudes and blackberry 9930s, that they are paying people to recycle. It boggles my mind how they are just pissing money away, when they could easily sell this stuff. I've heard that even the CEO flipped out when he heard they toss this stuff, and they still continue...

what exactly do you want them to do? You can't possibly expect that they'd sell them individually on craigslist or waste resources shipping them through amazon
>>51880870
Make friends with IT
They let you pick through for free hardware
Problem solved
>>51880893
How about hire a guy to fucking sell them.
>entsorgt
i played around with one of these the other day
there is no current modern browser that supports OSX 10.4 (the latest version which this thing can run) so you have to go with a firefox fork called TenFourFox to do even basic web browsing, and even then youtube is a bit laggy
it's a very pretty machine and very sturdy and well built. The hardware on the one I played with seems like it would still be up to the task of basic web browsing, but that doesn't seem to be the case
sell it to somebody who will take it
>>51880948
gut it, mod the case, and put a real system in it
