How's the 9.2 final working on 4S? I've been watching some comparative vids and the newest ios seems to have some major speed improvements from what I've noticed. Is it worth it? I miss a lot of apps that I was using but are now set for ios's from 8 and up. I'm currently on 7.1.2.
Did anyone upped their 4S?
Reminder that one day this will run on your phone in real time.
Because it's frozen, some addon wants to update or enough shit has been going on it's not going to perform well before a restart?
I have really bad comp. 2gb ram, CPU AMD C-70 (1.33ghz 2 cores) and I have problem with playing 720p movies. Currently I was using CCCP codec pack, but I want to ask you: which codec pack or what should I install to play 720p movies on my computer smoothly? I don't care about quality, all I want is playing videos smoothly due to my bad CPU/ram.
but what player/codec pack should I install on my comp? does that even matter? I want to configure my player to use lowest settings, but idk which player/codecs should I install and use
CAN'T STUMP THE TRUMP edition

What are you working on, /g/?
Calculator now supports 7 background colors and 2 keyboard colors, I plan to put 10 different colors on both.
Then I will move to the landscape mode with more functions, shit will get real.
Gonna install Linux on my laptop. Heard Gentoo is the best.
I have a low opinion of Gentoo GNU/Linux.
Gentoo is a GNU/Linux distribution, but its developers don't recognize this; they call it "Gentoo Linux". That means they are treating me and the GNU Project disresepectfully.
More importantly, Gentoo steers the user towards nonfree programs, which is why it is not one of our recognized free distros.
Do you talk to your computer?
I don't know if this is old news, but Capcom confirmed they're working with Valve on SteamOS port of Street Fighter V.
Hey /g/ i think i have gone tottaly amateur with applying paste to cpu. First i think i put too much, 2 lines on cpu, and 2 lines on cooler (thermalright macho) then smearing it evenly with plastic card. I assembled the cooler to the cpu like 2 times to check how it looks between. The excess of the paste went a bit out from the sides of aasemblement. My idle temps on 4690k stock 3.5ghz are +/- 27C which to me looks preety good. Should i bother to assemble it again with new thinner layer, or leavy it alone?Paste i used was arctic silver 5 with thermalright macho rev b.
You need a pea in the middle or a single line spread out thin.
The point of thermal paste is to seal up the tiny gap between surface of cpu and heatsink so heat can transfer away as fast as possible.
Putting a shit load in is not efficient.
so /g/ with all the fags here recommending linux and the rest of the shills running botnet 10 have any of you considered BSD? i have been using linux for a few years now and i quite like it it's also somewhat "secure" compared to windows but it still has many exploits
so i wanted to look into BSD. Do any of you use BSD? how does it compare to linux? does it have many exploits etc?
>inb4 windows is more secure
who /allnighter/ here?
it's currently 6:45am here in newyork.
i have my assembly final in 2 hours.
4 hours after that i have my japanese written final.
currently drinking a cup of coffee, took some nooptep with choline a few hours ago. might retake for my jap final.
I did something like that with undergraduate physics and some algorithms course once.
Spent the weekend after in this strange daze; someone claimed I showed up online and did insane DPS though.
Daily reminder, if you don't want to upgrade to Botnet 10, just hide this update.
No more GWX, business as usual.
so /g/ i hear a lot about linux kernel exploits etc and that it technically has more exploits in it than windows
so does anyone have an example of one of these exploits? or maybe a database with known exploits in it etc
also anyone know of linux privilege escalation exploits?
from what i hear there are exploits that haven't been patched for a long time if not then old exploits are fine
generally just looking into linux exploits so patched exploits are welcome
Just because its patched in mainline doesn't mean all distros have pushed that update OR it doesn't mean who you are trying to haxxor has applied that patch.
I want to make a windows build, but do I really need antivirus?
If you know what you're doing, just install Windows 10 (includes Windows Defender) + Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (free) and you should be good
So no, you don't REALLY need some fancy paid antivirus.
It just clicked:
We've had so many fucking connector revisions and changes (and complete paradigm shifts) over the years, ata to sata, firewire to thunderbolt, USB to mini, mini to c, vga to dvi to hdmi to displayport, but fucking power connectors? Why are we stuck with this shit?
They're either tight as fuck so when they finally get loose you end up inadvertently punching something or ripping a cable to shit, or so loose that you have to fucking hotglue them.
Why can't we get something basic, same pins (Perhaps one for 3.3v, one for 5 and one for 12,...

Haven't touched my machines in ages, just been working on thin clients and VM's, this thing's just so frustrating to work with.
Where's the elegance in this?
I'm starting to understand why people wire their own PSU's on a fit-to-case basis, but the end connectors make it all for shit.
But it is broke. And fuck it, I'll design a god dam replacement.
