gamers only care about games.
look at windows 10 adoption so far. windows 7 has plummeted in market share. windows 10 has really taken off with the gamer population.
doesn't matter how shittastic windows 10 is, microsoft made the right move making it free for a year as long as you have a valid 7 / 8 license / installation.
gamers will gladly give up privacy to play games.
Ofc they will, sharing personal info enablew faster matchmaking !

i'm trying to supplement my college cs curriculum with outside projects and self-learning, but I'm not sure what exactly I should do at this point.
I'm still a beginner, i've only taken two intro classes (on python and c++). next quarter I'm taking 13 units of CS classes but I really want to be productive over winter break and most of those units are in basic theoretical topics that aren't too relevant to industry/practice.
i'm trying to land some kind of a CS internship for the summer, so it'd be really great if i can manage...

www.udacity.com have courses thatt teaches by building projects. you can always tweak it a bit. and their courses are excellent.
There is a git course there, learn git if you don't know it already. It makes it easier to have your code in some repository.
thanks, I'm doing that now! and I've heard of git before, but i thought it might be a bit beyond me given that i literally have no code i would want to commit to a repository (if thats even the right terminology)
Learn algorithms and theory instead of making meme programs like fuckie birds

I don't know how it works in the USA but I have three years in the industry and make $85,000 + bonus. No one will pay a guy who has had 12 weeks training 80k.

Who the fuck even uses a grub password?
>>51954398
This requires physical access to the computer.
Unless the machine has full disk encryption, the presence or absence of this exploit won't stop anyone from breaking into your computer using nothing but a thumb drive with a live Linux install on it.

Isn't the 6 ancient

get the 5x
>>51954003
I have a 4 and wouldn't really want anything bigger. I looked at a 5x today and even that's monstrous. They're all crazily big. Probably best to go with the most powerful just so it's relevant longer. What's the point of having a phone if it's dead. My 4 is pretty much done, no updates, shit barely runs. Hell updating anything on the store takes a stupid amount of time
