"But Google? Google probably knows more about me than anyone. Probably more than I know myself. That's never been more apparent than when I scrolled through the first 100 pixels or so of theMy Activity section on my Google account. Everything I've searched for. Apps I've used. Websites I opened. Destinations I've navigated to. All there, and pretty much in real time."

This is too much even for androidcentral standards
I have all my activity disabled for when I do use google services (YouTube), I don't have any Google Apps (including Google Play) installed on my phone and I never use the Google Search engine.
>There are people RIGHT NOW who still browse 4chan without HTTPS.
What's it like knowing that your ISP sees every lewd image your browser automatically downloads and every shitpost you make? What's it like getting the knock after your browser automatically downloads an image that your country declares illegal? Why haven't you joined the HTTPS master race yet?
>>55429387
HTTPS won't help you if you use Google Chrome buddy
>>55429387
>He thinks this is anything but a placebo
The NSA just decrypts HTTPs and saves it anyways, and they have backdoors to 4chan. Try using your brain next time.
>>55429387
never noticed this, but I do remember installing the https everywhere extention
Doesn't melt your motherboard edition.

AMD APU master race.
Would be fucking amazing if they fixed overhead though, then every game should run fine on low or medium @1080p, which is incredible for something as cheap as an a8 7600 or 7650k.
>>55429375
Jewtel here
Was pleasantly surprised yesterday, Cities Skylines developer say they don't support Jewtel, but I tried it and it actually runs quite nice.
sick general op, we surely needed another general

some of these fags pushing the free agenda probably even use chrome too.
fucking hypocrites.
>>55429346
Reddit is full of normies, chads, and females.
A website on someone else's server can't be open or closed source. Besides this isn't my machine.
The internet is technology.

That may be my new favorite site.

Why is everything so backwards on windows?
Additionally, are chromebooks a meme? I'm talking about using crouton to essentially run linux on a cheap ass laptop
Because microsoft isn't allowed to include compilers like gcc for anti-trust reasons, and all the ports from unix compilers are garbage.
Windows is far and away the best for Java development though.

Buy a C201 and libreboot it.
You get autism-approved free as in freedom machine

Thanks for the recc, is this fine?

If so, I'll buy it now.
Is this a shit build? Should I put an RX 480 in it?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj2o5xaJJoI
>>55429028
Also, would it be worth getting a different case and an on brand psu?
>>55429136
Case is probably fine but definitely get a proper PSU like a Seasonic or EVGA.
You should not put an RX 480 in anything if you value your motherboard's lifespan. Just buy a GTX 970.
Finally decided to join Linux master race full time.
What distro would /g/ get?
>>55429008
xubuntu i quite comfy
>>55429046
I found xubuntu to be shit. Mint was the most pleasant to use.
>>55429008
Depends on what you want.
If you want a just works or gaming experience id go with a flavour of Ubuntu (search youtube or google images to decide which one)
If you want an os to mess around with and configure as you'd like try arch or gentoo.
How do we stop webdevs and brogrammers?
>>55428954
Outlaw codes of conduct.
>>55428954
just ask them to explain what a pointer is
and then no admittance to the stupid

>mfw doing back-end webdev as a job

Lads, shit is fun as fuck
Why are you still using deprecated chan technology /g/?

I like writing bots, and everything can talk to an IRC server since it is so simple.
Also, it has a ton of integration written for it that doesn't exist with other forms of chat, and there are a lot of very helpful IRC rooms.
>>55428929
irc bots are a great way to learn socket programming
>>55428881
IRC is probably the only instant-messaging method that's fully open-source. This includes both the server and client, and when properly set up it allows for perfect secrecy of messages in transit and storage.
TL;DR everything else is a botnet.
Will I regret buying a Ducky?
>>55428835
Yes. Get a good one. It's not that much more
>>55428835
Loved my Ducky. Didnt love dropping so much on a keyboard when it literally offers no performance increase in games or typing over my sidewinder x4 memebrain keyboard.
>try opera
>not faster than botnet
>way less extensions
>uninstall opera
>not using the best browser
Why would you install opera if you're trying to get away from the botnet? Did the shills on /g/ paid by Free Software Foundation convince you?
