Where can I get this
Why aren't procesors plug'n'play cards like GPUs, with built-on coolers and pre-applyed thermal pastes?
I know there's something obvious that I'm missing here, btw.
they had them. they werent very good.
Seems a bit challenging with the literal buttload of pins. Also, case height and space isn't standardized like PCI(e) slots.

Dear /g/,
My boss is committing fraud and has been getting away with it for over 15 years. He's also been leaking sensitive information to competitors according to several sources.
I work in finance and am therefore not that IT-minded. Excel is all I know.
How do I gather evidence discretely?
Additional information :
1) the server room is very easily accessible and nobody keeps an eye on it. The IT company is external and only comes around when there are server issues.
2) Boss is out of town next week.
Dont be a cunt???
>>52031292
Ok.
Next.
>>52031316
Lol why? Is he underpaying you? Are you a cuckold?
>Windows users need to "activate" their system or it refuses to run
Literally LMAOing if this is true
>being this much of a dumb fuck
>lmao i was only pretending to be retarded
Child.
>>52030903
Is it true or not?
>>52030910
Unactivated W10 is just watermarked (sometimes) and makes it harder to change the background/menu theme.
Alright guys, let's see if you can settle this.
I'm defragging my hard drive and some friend of mine is telling me it's actually bad for it.
I say it's OK because defragging is only bad if you do it on a SSD (I have a HDD).
Who is right about this?
It's not bad for HDD if you do it once a month or once a week. If you do it more than once a week than it's bad.
bad for ssds, unnecessary if you are using linux but good if you are using windows
>>52030841
I thought windows did this automatically in the background since vista
Sup /g/. I'm starting full time work un Unity in Jan 2016 and I need to build a workstation. I know what parts I'm getting but since you guys are so autistic over some certain bits of hardware I thoguht I'd get your advice.
Firstly SSDs. I will be using ~256GB SSD as my main drive, plus a 1TB HDD for other stuff. You can try and talk me out of it if you like, but what I want to know is which consumer model SSD I should go for, and why.
Secondly, I've been debating over a 960 or 980 GTX. The 960 is comparable to my previous 680 with very...

/g/ is not meant for tech support. use the various part picker websites to check your build for bottlenecks and mismatch. Make your own decisions.
>>52030822
buy a thinkpad, install gentoo, drop unity and develop your game from scratch in C + OpenGL API. You can thank me later
>>52030949
Part pickers don't explain why /g/ freaks out whenever someone mentions SSD.

I've got some experience developing C++/DirectX, up to implementing some basic shaders. I'm not interested in writing my own renderer, let alone an entire engine.
Math/programming babby here.
How would I calculate the exact value of 'i' in order to call doGoodStuff given the following p-code:int64 a = 11111;
int64 b = -123456789;
int64 i;
i = getInput();
if (i*a == b) {
doGoodStuff();
}
i = b/a?
>>52030812
>please /g/ help me I was too lazy to listen to my teachers in school in math class and now I can't even and the current year is going to end what do
>>52030812
What do you mean with "calculate the value of i"? It's determined by the input.
Do you meani * a = b=>b / a = i?
If its this, you seriously need to learn the basics of math. Because this is elementary school level
Who /preparingfor32c3/ here?
Which talks is /g/ attending?
The x86 considered harmful one looks bretty gud, also 3DS hacking and the annual Tor talk are probably the top 3 for me.
The autists who brought you GIMP pepper stickers last year are returning again!
No peppers though.
Lots of cool stuff, but:
"Fluxus cannot save the world." on day 3
looks especially cool, the fluxus movement was pretty great.
>>52030831
Because this year, we will have something much rarer.
>decide to finally build my own PC
>blow nearly $1500 on parts
>all my shit comes today
I just need a screwdriver and to plug shit together, right? Surely it can't be that hard, its [current year]?
>>52030728
Pretty much.
Just don't forget these

And to put them on the case before you put the motherboard in.
And waste some time on propper cable management.
>>52030743
There should be a
>Pic related the non black spacer looking thing
In the bag with the screws to screw them on.
I literally (after 20 PC's built) did not notice them until very recently.
Do not plug anything directly from the PSU into the motherboard besides the 24pin power connector and the CPU power connector.
Manage cables neatly the first time.
Take a shower before you start and wear plain T-shirt to reduce static.
Breadboard first to make sure it all works, then add parts.
Make sure the total flow of air out is more than air in with fans.
If you've got thermal paste, clean the stock one off the processor using alcohol and apply it. Reapply it every time you remove the heatsink off the processor.

Where did you guys learn how to code? I've been lurking on /g/ for sometime and I am very interested in coding, Java- specifically, and maybe C. I've signed up for some classes on Udemy and made an account on Codeacademy, but I have a gut feeling those two are meme-tier teaching places.

Thank's for the link, though I am not too interested in making games right now- but i'll give it a shot someday.
>>52030496
Another bump.
what's the most (eurobucks) you would pay for a used z3 compact in very good condition, that still has a year warranty on it? is 250 too much or just about right?
bout tree fiddy
a new one is 375 on Amazon fyi
whatever is the current go-to price for used ones on ebay
How many external HDD do you own?
Which brand would you recommend / avoid?
external ssd is where the meme is at
hdd is old and deprecated
>>52030292
currently, none
i have a couple of cases lying around and probably some old HDDs as well
>tfw externals are cheaper than internals
>buy tons of external drives, take HDDs out, put in server

But pretty much all of them are soldered
Creating this thread to get an idea of what are some most commonly used sites are being accessed when browsing Darknet. I normally use hiddenwiki, but most links on there are out dated. Is there a way to find up-to-date links?
>>52030286
There are less and less current links since people have been avoiding TOR for years. Nearly half the nodes are government owned last I heard. There's no point anymore.
>>52030286
#000000 background with green numbers, that shit it's scary and darknet as fuck.
>>52030311
Unlikely but any source
How does /g/ feel about this.
I know he is just a fat fuck trying to make some cash but the U.S. Government Is gaining way too much power abroad.

If he would have lost his much shut he would have faded into obscurity but he kept antagonizing them. Fat fuck deserves it.
He should claim asylum at the Russian embassy

How does it actually work if you're imprisoned in a country (granted it's not a lifetime sentence) but you aren't actually a national?
If he will ever be released, does he have to go back to NZ or will he stay in the US?
