Hey guys, some of us like having these threads, and post-christmas we might get more of them after our mummy and daddies gave us some spending money.
Personally, I'm going to blow my wad on a CAD/Revit/Photoshop computer for school.
Is this any good?

I haven't built a computer since 9th grade, and that guys still running with an Athlon x2.
Some of my "design philosophy" is that I want to be able to upgrade easily later down the line. I figure new data drives, RAM, and GPUs are all easy to grab off craigs...

Little endian is retarded
You write a three-thousand four-hundred sixty-nine as 3469 not as 6934
Prove me wrong
>>52069732
Most modern architectures support both formats anyway.
>>52069758
That's bad though
Little-endian support leads to dumb people using litte-endian instead of superior big endian

It literally does not matter.
So i got a "lexibook tv game console" (i couldnt find any serial no whatsoever on the package or device) for x-mas by far relatives. It has some pretty shit games n stuff. It comes with two NES-like IR controllers and a 4 GB sdcard preloaded with games. I was wondering if i could port some games (quake / doom / a nes emulator) to it. I copied two games (Gold Digger & Calculator) from the sdcard and disassembled with ida pro as they had ELF headers. it said it is s+core architecture (32bit), and it had some debugging symbols (pic related). It also had some system-like...

the knowledge you seek is probably too specialized for /g/. Try other specific reverse-engineering hobby forum for better success.

sup /g/. i decided to put together the best machine for as cheap as i could for gaming. i figured i would run my plan by /b/ and see what yall think.
so i was inspired by this video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epIlB49SNTI [Embed]
in this video the used a server board to run two intel xeon quad core 2.4ghz cpus with some ddr2 ram and a decent graphics card and they were pulling pretty impressive performance with that set up.
theres a lot to be left lacking there so i ordered a better motherboard with ddr3 ram and pci express 2 with the same cpu socket.

Ok as for ram you will have to go ecc since your have a supermicro just look up the compatibilty list and look for cheap ram.
Adblocker blocking scripts are just one step away from view-to-access. Prove me wrong.
>>52069460
I'm fine with not accessing it if they insist on serving malicious privacy harming tracker adverts.
I'll get the info elsewhere.
>>52069460
wtf is view to access, you mean pay to access?
when i see that i disable my adblocker, and manually block ads with noscript
git gud
and if that doesnt work then i just dont use the site, unless the ads are non intrusive
How's that Windows phone treating you /g/?

New:
Ability to inject script resource from the resource library directly into a page -- i.e. not through redirection. Can be used to defeat some otherwise hard to defeat ad injection mechanisms on some sites. More specifically, this allows to defeat AdDefend- or Yavli-based ads on many sites (as of writing), which so far were defeated only through inline script tag filtering -- so this means that now Chromium-based browsers can also bypass AdDefend/Yavli (for example, see #1100). Some documentation available...

It is a fair price but maybe around the same price to performance as 6600-6700k where those are better options because you can overclock them and not a xeon.
