Could this be the start of the next revolution in computers?
An intergrated silicon optical transmitter based computer along with fast SSD
I'm envisioning a desktop version with a fiberoptic bus between ram CPU GPU south bridge north bridge etc etc
Silicon dreaming or cold hard reality?
PCI-E 4.0 uses an optical bus so you're not that far off. Optical interconnects are being used for mass storage, and a few companies are looking to explore them to reduce latency and increase bandwidth with MCMs.

>tfw running Linux with everthing to hide but the government can't do anything about it because it's all encrypted and secure
You mad, winfags?
What theme do you use on Rockbox?

Anyone here use Hackintosh? I'm looking to give it a go. Install Windows, Hackintosh and a >linucks distro all together for a l33t hacking machine with three separate operating systems rather than one like faggots have. Is it possible to tri-boot with Hackintosh included?
OP here. I would seriously like to know if tri-booting is possible. I've only heard of people installing two operating systems, never three.
That sucks. Does the update application / file Apple provides only work once? If I somehow manage to find someone willing to let me mooch off their El Capitan update thing, would they not be able to update for themselves afterwards?
I mean look at his JUST hair, shoes, and lifting form. Proove me wrong.
How is it? Intentions: watching steven universe in all its glory and playing undertale in maximum hi-def. Is it good, brahs, is it?
Also, forgot I will probably add this wasd keyboard and ssd. Question: my cpu cool unit good enough for what I have?
You have to spend the weekend in a haunted house /g/
What tech item do you take with you to survive? Just know that although there is electricity and running water, there is no mobile provider signal whatsoever. And no, there is no microwave oven.
whats the safest way to torrent for free? No Paid VPNs
How would you save Microsoft, /g/?
> Most successful operating system in the history of computing
> Most feature-rich office suite ever created
> World class SQL Database engine
> Most popular enterprise email engine
> Presence in the phone/tablet market
> Owns C#, possibly the best OO programming language, and F#, the most popular functional programming language
There's a lot of value here that's being mismanaged. If you were the new CEO, how would you bring MS back to the top? What projects would you emphasize, which ones would you drop, what new things would you invest in?
Make everything open source, change business model to target enterprise customers and sell service/support contracts. Also, increased marketing for cloud storage/backup services.
>Buying a phone more than 5' inch screen
>Needing more than 1080p on a chink phone
Alright /g/ I need some help understanding some concepts here. What does a subnet mask and default gateway do? And how to use them correctly?
Let DHCP guide you, and your devices.
But really, the subnet mask indicates which part of the network can be reached directly, as opposed by going through a gateway.
It literally (binary) masks the size of the locally reachable network to size xy.
How to fix a dead motherboard ?

If you pay for dedicated graphics, you should literally get perma banned from /g/ and stay on /v/.
Hey, /g/. Basically, I want to join anonymous, and become a hacktavist. I've done a lot of research and find myself agreeing on many subjects. I have kali linux and a lot of free time. How can I get started?
