Do you use a self hosted solution like OwnCloud or do you prefer Dropbox & co?
Self hosted seafile. For silly things like sharing screenshots and shit I just made a basic little PHP upload deal for LAN only, also has basic self destruction. Only accessible within LAN, you can view regardless though.
Also, I would advise against owncloud if you intend to have large amounts of junk. Right now I have about 50-60GB worth of shit in my seafile, if you're using owncloud keep it small, it can't handle large amounts of files well at all.
Help me out /g/
I want to make a python script that generates every single possible combination of words entered and puts it into a file. If you have anything similar can you please share the code or give a download link.
What went wrong?
I'm tired of Android. Is the BlackBerry Passport an okay phone? I don't expect it to do the same shit as android, I only plan to call, text, browse the web, and listen to music. I'm just curious about its performance in what I listed and it's battery life.
Just wanted to get /g/'s opinion on it.
Does anyone know a free way to recover deleted photos from an iphone?
Does /g/ have any advice on dealing with cable companies for better deals? My parents have internet/phone/TV with time warner, mid-tier TV and 20mbps internet and they're paying a stupid price (somewhere around $200 a month, with a price increase in april.
To cap up how shitty this company is:
>$70/mo is the retail rate for 20mbps/2mbps internet
>They break the cable box rental fee into a cable box rental fee and a fee for the program guide per box, but it's effectively $12.75/mo per box

Is it possible to get on the deep web via the surface web? I own a windows phone so there are no tor/i2p/freenet applications for it. The site I want to visit is safe it's basically a forum to discuss math and quantum physics.
If you don't like my thread don't post on it and just ignore it. If you posted a topic I wasn't interested I I wouldn't come on it and insult you. I would just move on until I found something I liked. Btw this isn't dross topic because allot of 4chan users use windows phones. My PC broke so this is the only device with intern capabilities I got.
I've got a Nexus 6P and a Chromebook Pixel LS. I also have an iPhone 6 Plus and a 2013 MacBook Air. Which set should I be using?
I have a full tower with a mATX motherboard inside and don't like the size difference so I'm considering getting a micro chassis.
are there any micro chassis that have space for a DVD reader?
All I wanted for Christmas is that clover stops freezing.
Why did floens let me down senpai?
Perfectly fine for me friend
If a monitor has a refresh rate of 60hz
How can/does it display more than 60 FPS?
Let's talk network hardware.
Routers, switches, APs, shitty DSL modems, ghetto pfsense machines, NASes and wi-fi toasters welcome.
I'm looking for a router/switch/ap/nas combo to replace my slow-as-shit cubieboard + 10M linksys setup. Low power consumption is a must. Currently looking at Turris (pic related) but I'm wondering if there are better options out there. Needs to run dlna, torrent client, mpd, webserver, syncthing, ssh, iptables, dns cache and probably some other shit I'm forgetting.
What are you /g/oys using?
I never understood why /g/ always resort to these shitty DSL modem combo boxes when they already run home servers... Just configure your server to act as a router and DHCP server and set your AP in AP mode/bridge mode.
Using a HP T5720 with a CF adapter and a Intel Pro e1000 PCI NIC for the LAN network.
The LAN port on the Intel NIC is connected to an 8 port unmanaged Linksys Gigabit switch.
Both in a DIY wooden lasercut 19" rack case in an IKEA LackRack.
This may be a stupid question but it got me thinking, if a game had different levels of difficulty, and that difficulty affected the so of opponents, would that make the harder difficulties more performance hungry or show minimal performance loss?
Tl; Dr: Can I get a higher frame rate with a lower difficulty
>install windows 10
>everything just works
Why isnt there any sort of decent photo manipulator for phones?
