Earlier I realized that I haven't torrented anything in over a year. I no longer need to now that I have HBO Go, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Pandora, etc. It seems like the industries have finally adapted to the internet well enough that the normal, apathetic consumer such as myself finds it more convenient to simply pay for a service than it is to pirate content now.
Looking at the Pirate Bay's top 100 list, it seems like the number of seeds has dropped significantly from a few years ago. Is this a good indicator of a decline in torrent users, or is TPB just a shit...

I don't. Haven't torrented a thing in over a year. I just don't really need anything right now. I have over 50 movies and over 30 tv show collections. My laptop isn't that great so I can't play many vydias so I have very few games to play.
I'll probably switch over to netflix soon and watch more tv shows or something.
I torrent every day. Paid streaming is for normies and cuckolds.
A lot of people have moved on from TPB. Another reason is that a lot of people who torrent don't seed unless it is a private tracker. Private trackers are pretty active and /g/ has a general for them. I personally torrent music and documentaries. Sometimes Netflix doesn't have what I want but, for the most time I am content.
My stepson has just got a AMD r7 370 strix (late xmas present). He's running it through a shitty 17" Alba T.V in till he can afford a decent monitor. The things throwing 100-300 fps on the games he wants to play, what programs can he use to cap frames to the lower end.
Picture not related.
why would you want that
Gonna take the bait, you can set a frame limit in crimson global settings.

Because it's through a 30 quid tv.
Why would he want to get a sun tan off CSGO
I really want to start programming. It seems sick and all, but I'm scared to venture into the complex world of programming. Does anyone know what language could be the easiest to learn, and then branch out to other languages with more ease?

I think this is a meme created by programmers to make them seem more important and genius.

How do I get into embedded programming? It seems to be the only non-shit way to make money writing software but I don't know how to proceed or foster an interest.
I'm fairy good at C with a almost half a decade experience.
>>52158754
read up on embedded programming in c
get a book or something dummy
then apply for jobs at companies that use microcontrollers or embedded systems
embedded is also c++ nowadays. No need to learn all that 80s crap.
>>52158772
and what about the second part of my question about creating interest? I've read like three intro books on embedded and it's dry as hell.
Why doesn't uBlock Origin block the giant, hideous ads on Wikipedia? You /g/uys told me uBlock Origin was the best adblocker.

I'm not sure what to do. Last year I built a new PC with a GTX 970 sc. I really want to get rid of it and upgrade to a 980ti, but I'm seeing the 970 being sold online for as low as $280. Would I be better off adding the same card I already have, sli, or just upgrading to a 6GB 980ti? I really want the latter, but if I'll see better performance going sli, it'll be cheaper anyway, and just the better option. Any advice would be appreciated.
>>52158630
sli if ur keepin 1080p
upgrade if ur going for 1440p or higher
i would recommend sli over a 980 ti given the soon-to-be-released pascal
>>52158661
I forgot to mention I am only @ 1080p, but I'm definitely interested in being 1440 or even 4K ready (don't exactly have the $ for a 4k monitor just yet.)
I wasn't sure how the dual 970s would fare with 4K

If I spend enough money will my life be validated by Huang with a non-gimped card.

Hey /g/,
I just bought a Radeon r7 360. Now, after 2 weeks, i think that my old xfx 7700hd worked way better (1Gb).
What do you think about it?
I think that you bought a piece of shit

How come the Spotify web player doesn't play ads? I'm a free user, and the ads every 4-5 songs is annoying as fuck, but for some reason they don't play when using the webplayer. Just unlimited music.

Have you ever considered that you use an adblocker?
If you use the desktop app, download a little program called blockify, it automatically mutes advertisements and does some other cool junk.

Probably Xerox.
Apple and Android users have had enough with older handsets turning to shit performance after upgrading to the latest supported OS. Apple customers have started a class-action against Apple due to how bad it's gotten.
Meanwhile, Windows 10 users be like pic related.
Why is Microsoft the only company that writes software which improves performance on all of their supported hardware with every release? I have old Windows phone devices, laptops from the 00's and workstations that my employer purchased when it was first established, all run buttery smooth...

>>52157605
I don’t think apple deliberately make older devices slower with updates, I think it's just a matter of them putting less effort into optimising new versions on older hardware. It's shitty of them either way but that's business unfortunately.
>>52157605
Because Microsoft tried to take a desktop OS down to the tablet market, making it better optimized, but we had to go through the pain of the Windows 8 GUI. The desktop PC is still the most powerful consumer-oriented computing device by a long shot, but it's not making great strides in performance like mobile devices are. I dislike Apple, but I don't know how much of this is intentional.
