Hey /g/, I'm looking for an HD CRT TV for my ps3 and older consoles (and possibly ps4 if I get one). My question is do 720p / 1080i CRT tv's have input lag? I remember reading somewhere that some HD CRT TV's have input lag and that to get rid of it you have to change some post process settings in a service menu.
Also on a side note I'd be completely willing to play on a CRT monitor but from all the research I've done there seems to be no way to get ps3 to look good and output anything over 480p on a CRT monitor.
Well one of the reasons I want a CRT is the basically zero input lag. I know your typical SD 480i CRT's have basically zero input lag, if I could get 720p or 1080i with zero input lag and CRT contrast and colors I'd be pretty damn pleased.
Just get a nice LCD HDTV.
CRT TVs are deprecated, and the cost of ownership and initial cost of purchase is too high to justify it. Picture quality is worse, and you would be limited to 720p.
My personal NSA tracking device aka smartphone finally died. Need a new phone quick and am poorfag.
No chink shit, I don't live in the US so shipping to my country is $$$. Brick and mortar stores are life.
Don't mind physical keyboards or even meme hacker phones, just as long as it can access the internet fine.
P.S. last phone was windows phone, as shown in pic :^)
How do we get more women in technology /g/? I propose we start by firing lots of white males and replacing them with more diverse people.

XP Pro SP2 on a Dell Dimension 4600i keeps permanently freezing at log in screen even after disabling all non-essential services, disabling all start up programs and checking the drive for bad sectors.
Boots up normally in safe mode. Any ideas?
I actually can't boot into safe mode now, its hanging here indefinitely.
All the posts about not using gapps... If you don't use gmail and YouTube. What do I use?
I am going to win this competition.
Suck it, NEETs
This year, Mark Zuckerberg wants to be more like Tony Stark. In a Facebook post Sunday, the social network’s founder and chief executive said his personal challenge for 2016 is to build an assistant powered by artificial intelligence to help him at home and work. “You can think of it kind of like Jarvis in Iron Man,” Mr. Zuckerberg wrote, referring to the AI assistant used by Mr. Stark,...

>Is he writing it or is he having some contest for other people to write it?
He's writing it. I do agree that it's laughable that he thinks he can just teach himself neural networks in a matter of days. We'll see.
When will technology make life not be painful /g/
This picture accurately represented my life at one point in time. Totally can't be a coincidence. Why is it that your life devolves to this path if you're able to have a place, don't have to work, and are addicted to the internet?
is there anything that is NOT a botnet?
Try and name someone in the tech community who is more respected and knowledgeable than this man.
Say I get a paid VPN like PIA or torguard.
What are the odds that their IP addresses will be banned on 4chan?
(Not for shitposting but I want to start using a VPN but don't want banned shit everywhere)
So I slapped together my first self-constructed desktop PC, and it runs like an absolute dream.
A very stationary 2-foot tall fifty pound dream.
I find myself missing the portability of a laptop for work purposes especially since I plan on being on the road a good bit soon, and I was wondering if anyone had some advice for what kind of laptop would be best for:
- Video and audio editing
- 2d/3d Animation
- Digital sketching/painting
- and gaming of course.
Kind of a mixed work/entertainment machine.
I've been looking at the MSI GT72 or possibly the workstation WT72 with the Quadro graphics card, but I'm not sure which would be better. Also considering the Alienware 17 or the latest Asus ROG.
Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. What's the best portable gaming and creative device out there?
I managed to break the encryption scheme for post-2009 rock band .moggs.
I know this was something people wanted a few years ago, but does anyone even care anymore?
for an example see anonfiles b3ef8e5f626c108f285f6e2cad2a3879
>does anyone even care anymore?
idunno, with Guitar Hero making a comeback maybe they will soon. Either talk to /biz/ or try and hunt down the Rock Band modding community, just please, avoid /v/.
The mod community seems to have been satisfied with custom songs which work up through Rock Band 3, and probably have no need for decryption anymore.
Thought I'd see if anyone was still interested from a programming/reverse engineering standpoint.
How does a computer science degree translate to the real world when it comes to programming for a living?
The degree isn't what gets you a job OP it's what you learn. If you fully utilize your universities resources and become a decent programmer, you'll get a job. If you just coast through your coursework, you'll probably have a hard time.
