Fuck.
I know that heat pipes are hollow, I've heard they have inert gas within them. If I were to trim off the ends with, say a dremel tool, and leave the ends open, would this be OK? Should I try to "pinch" the ends off with pliers, retaining the seal?
it's copper, can't you just bend the tip up ?
>>52261306
Huh, I hadn't though of just bending them. I think this offers the greater chance of success without totally screwing it up. 'course, copper is soft, and it could rack and break if I go too quickly... I'll have to be careful.
I've visited the Wikipedia page for heat pipes and they do require the liquid/vapor to remain in the sealed tubes, as they transfer heat through evaporation/condensation.
>>52261199
Just pull the offending cap off the pcb with a pair of pliers dummy.
Nah for real though. Use same saidbpair of pkiers and slowly bend those heatpipes upwards. Cutting them with only fuck you over.
What cooler/card bruh? I had a Morpheous on my r9 290 that cooled like a dream and didn't have any of that clearance problems.
And here I was thinking the "non-free pizza" was just an awfully forced meme
how does /g/ deal with the abomination that is non-free pizza ordering? I am very hungry atm and cannot think straight
Why would anyone order from Pizza Hut? It's overpriced as shit.
>>52261137
>how does /g/ deal with the abomination that is non-free pizza ordering?
Use landline :^)
>>52261137
First of all, you're using Microsoft Windows. You shouldn't give a fuck about freedom.
And also, there's this thing called a "phone" that you can use to order pizza. Use it.
give me 5 reasons why i should't install Debian
pretty dismal package management
(not really a reason, but mine): im so used to arch and bsd that it doesnt make sense
all the shitty distros like ubuntu and mint are based on it
Nothing else really. Use whatever distro makes you happy, faggot.
You might kill yourself.
>>52260763
there are no reasons you shouldn't install it. It's the best distro along with Xubuntu. Stay away from Arch or you will never get anything done.

Hey /g/
tonight I was trying to intercept NASA coms and for a while this binary code :
01000001 01111001 01111001 00100000 01001100 01101101 01100001 01101111
What could it be?
>>52259569
I don't understand this fixation with hacking NASA
They literally have nothing interesting enough to hide
>>52259569
You have nothing better to do? "Ayy lmao" kill yourself.

wats the best nexux 6p case dudes?
That case is sexy as fuck, but the volume/power button cut out isn't made properly. It's kind of hard to take screen shots, and if you press the power button low enough it actually turns up the volume.
I also bought the unicorn beetle slim case, that works pretty nicely. A little more than normal force needed to press the buttons, but still functions well.
I still rock the official nexus case, it just looks too good to not.

Better question, what's the best Edge+ case?
Okay gentlemen I just accidentally fried my RAM and/or the RAM slots on my motherboard in my laptop while trying to expand my memory. Tell me of your own fuckups so I don't feel so bad about this.
I once ate a whole ham.
Would not recommend.

do you do non host based windows 10 botnet defeating?
cute tier 2 tech think he deserves to be an engineer
>>52259281
Yo, I'm a shitty, just-starting-out programmer.
People are always talking about securing their ports. I know nothing about networking, so I just don't get what's actually done to secure them.
Where do I get started with this / learning about this? I've done some googl'n, and it's not helping.
Ok /g/, I have a problem. My speakers are picking up a religious chat radio. I only hear it when no other sound is being played. The fuck do i do to stop this?
>>52259198
Chad put a end to it
Turn your radio to a different station
>>52259198
your speakers are not picking up religious chat radio.
The sounds will get louder, since you are slowly going insane.
would you, /g/?
nah it's essentially a fleshlight with dead eyes making whirring noises
I would enjoy having one sure, but they are going to be stupidly expensive which makes it pretty worthless.
>>52259119
nah man, nah.
My friends computer just died and he donated the cpu to me (motherboard was completely dead)
Should I order a Chinese motherboard and overclock it, or should I not be cheap and get an i3 4170/6100 or fx6300 instead? It's an i5 750.
How much difference will there be in performance between the i5 at let's say 3.8ghz, vs a newer i3?
Australian prices would be $170 for the i3 and +60 for a basic motherboard.
Or if I get the Chinese one it'll be around 80 dollars after conversion for cpu+ mobo.
This will be my first desktop, I'm usually...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
How much of a difference would there be between h55 and p55?
I'll obviously add heatsinks to the motherboard.
Bump?
>>52258942
That mobo is colored like it was made of legos
So I recently got the first smartphone I've ever owned in pic related. I absolutely love it so far.
What do you think of the nexus 6 compared to other comparable devices? Did I make a good decision in going with this particular phone instead of an iPhone or Samsung?
Every post following this summed up: yes.
Now go away.
>>52259152
There's no reason to be so rude anon...
Theres only two possible flaws to the phone, it's either too big or it can get really hot. Other than that, God tier phone
