Who else has test driven Red Star OS? Inspired by the talk give at 32C3 (and 31C3) I decided to have a go.
good job, not only is everything (obviously) being logged from inside the OS, but that has malware built in that is able to escape the VM to the host OS.
you are a moron
Even though its primarily designed for use within DPRK, you can still set your own time zone
Note. Dont try and install it on an 8BG drive. I though this was enough, but it kept shitting itself, telling me that the partition that I had just created could not be found. I eventually got it installed on a 15 GB partition.
Note the english language. You can hack and save the isolinux.config file in the .iso itself so that the installation language is english, which makes things a lot easier.

If you like slightly faster 4K slideshows stick with your r9 290

A hydrogen bomb from North Korea to drop on the burgers.

Give a portion of the money back to powerball.com's web designer.
Holy fuck that website is atrocious, I've seen more aesthetically pleasing websites in the mid 90's
why should i use this?
The question is: should you? And the answer is no.

You shouldn't. Use whatever browser suits you. Stop relying on autist on /g/ to make opinions for you.
I made a rudimentary shitpost generator using Markov chains. Sometimes it says funny things. Forgive me if this has been done before.
https://github.com/eon8ight/shitpost-learner
It trains a Markov chain using all posts on a given board, and generates posts that roughly sound like a shitpost tailored to that board.
I know nothing about AI so it's extremely simple.
Here's what it says after training it on /g/:

You can't get any one of them yet, they haven't been reviewed yet. Keep your money.
>>52350751
Neither.
Both are going to be shitty first generation products that isn't really ready for consumers. The hype surrounding them is huge and it's just not worth it.
The list is quite extensive! If you have patience to read and post your respective points of view, it is worth reading.
http://itvision.altervista.org/why.linux.is.not.ready.for.the.desktop.current.html
75% of the complaints have to do with driver support, if linux already had the market share of windows or OSX this would be a non-issue.
But given the adoption rate, it's decent.
The remainder is somewhat nit picking
One of the problems is that some commands in linux even though they know damn well people will try to use them like in windows if they're trying to switch, they're mapped differently for no fucking reason just than to be different, ctrl-v for pasting comes to mind in some programs.
>>52352013
Not to nitpick, but I don't recall ever coming across a program in Linux that didn't use ctrl+v to paste, other than the terminal in Ubuntu (in that case it was ctrl+shift+v).
I think Linux is almost there. Once the kinks in LibreOffice are worked out and the overall OS UI/UX is a little nicer, I think we'd have Linux OSes that could actually compete in consumer space.

For years now this problem is present in the Nvidia drivers. If only the drivers were open source, this might have been caught and patched sooner.
Seriously though, why not make the drivers open source? They make more than enough money by designing the actual GPUs, and the drivers you can download for free anyway.

Fedora 23
Hi /g/,
I'm looking for a powerful very light ultrabook to buy:
- i7 processor
- 8 GBs ram (or more)
- 13 to 14 inch screen
- Budget up to $2,000
- Not manufactured by Apple
What do you suggest?
The new razer ultrabook.
Starts at 999$
Idk specs I'm too lazy to look it up but it's also a gaming laptop soo
>>52349135
That one is actually amazing, the only problem is that the screen is a bitttttt smaller than my needs.
It's 12", I need 13" to 14"
xps 13 is all that comes to my mind, but it has to be late 2015 model.
