Why are there no dx12 benchmarks for APUs? I'd love to see the performance with better multithreading and the fixed driver overhead issue.
7x draw calls for dx12 is impressive, but the cpu and gpu are rather weak.

Nope, I'm not watching that!

Is it possible to trace a burnt DVD?
Possible.
Not plausible.

Recently became enlightened to free software so I decided to slowly attempt to switch over. I decided to change my web browser (which was google chrome). I switched to Firefox at first and every time I opened it i got the "your connection is not secure" message. I looked up fixes for it but none of it worked. So then I tried switching to Waterfox. Waterfox worked great at first but wouldn't allow me to watch netflix and would ignore the exceptions for pop-ups that I set. So Now I am trying Iridium and still netflix videos wont play. Also I cannot enlarge photos...

How does the Linux kernel even know so many devices? Does someone test out each device or do manufacturers contribute?
>>55452335
20+ years of development by most of the actually talented programmers out there, and a nerdy obsession to have your name on the biggest open source project ever
>>55452335
>Does someone test out each device or do manufacturers contribute?
http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1047633/one-writes-linux-drivers-235-usb-webcams
People who own a device without loonix drivers contribute to the kernel. Manufacturers won't even release specifications most of the time.
>>55452335
>Does someone test out each device
Not one person but basically yes. Like 50% of the Linux kernel is just drivers.

If you had a choice of a monitor.
Would you go 4k (16:9) or a ultrawide (1440p) or a curved ultrawide? (1440p)
>>55452268
i got a 4k monitor and then later got a second. everyone that's advocating a 21:9 practically seems to revel in their fedora-ness.

Why do we need separate Linux Distros, anyway?
Why cant they all just unite and make 1 good distro instead of all these useless ones?
Because philosophies and differences you retard.
Because you get what you pay for. In this case a handout OS created by autistic programmers living in their parent's basement.
Canonical tried to get programmers together to make a Linux distro worth a shit but in the end failed due to lack of money and programmers.
Canonical tried it. Dumbass retards refused it.
Thoughts on GNUzilla and Icecat ?https://www.gnu.org/software/gnuzilla/
The best Firefox fork available. Security features out of the box and free software.
It also has an extremely cute logo.
How the heck am I supposed to use this on YouTube? Is there an addon for this?
>>55452467
It works out of the box. There is a built-in addon to convert webpage video players to the inbulit HTML5 player.
can somebody redpill me on why i should use vim instead of a full blown IDE?
i'm genuinely curious as i've used ides for as long as i've been programming
oh and sometimes i use nano if i need to quickly edit something so feel free to get salty
Just use whatever you want? We don't really care. Vim is definitely better than nano for debuging. Better syntax highlighting and more features. Vim even has fucking mouse support for people who really want it.
>>55452000

vim is the best and if you can't do all your coding on a terminal you are a plebiscite
well, to me its much more pleasant for the fact its so lightweight, i have straight access to the terminal and i can mod it the way i like. and it works everywhere
How is pic related possible?
Windows 7 keys for ultimate edition easily go over 100 dollars. How is he able to bulk sell for 20??

For all you cucks bitching about power management, heres how to fix the power issues on the 480 with one soldering: https://youtu.be/plC7tOYIqBw?t=1h14m23s
Keep in mind these are the reference cards, and the consumer release will not likely have this issue
>>55451841
Calm down man there releasing the driver update tomorrow that works on power management
You had a long day and need someone to talj to huh?
Dont go full nvidiot.
Dont be a shill, let amd's marketing department do that.
Wait for the driver, waiting is all we can do, also unlock the 8GB if you have a "4GB" card (not the 970 of course, we are talking about the rx 480).
>all you have to do is solder your card to fix it
Are you fucking serious? Nobody should be expected to solder their fucking card just to fix something that should've been fixed right out of the box.
>tfw didn't fell for the 480 meme
Good thing Nvidia announced the 1060
jesus this is being shilled hard
>>55451822
Yeah 960 fag here , not going to buy the 1060 nor the 480 , just gonna save up for 1080 too much fake review and too much controversial shit goingvon with the 480 so imma back out
