Add the 290, or 390 after the 380.
Haven't had a computer for 2 years. I've been using a phone. I'm even posting from my phone now. Enrolling in EMT classes in a few months go better my life and need a laptop for general use (and maybe light gaming like League of Legends). I don't want a laptop but my situation (I don't have a stable home) calls for something portable. I'm.constantly packing up and moving from place to place.
Can you guys recommend me a good performance laptop that isn't going to need upgrading anytime soon? Preferably in the range of $500-700 I've been looking and can't make up my mind. I wish I could just build a desktop but I'm not in a situation where I can.
Thank you guys I never post here but do lurk occasionally.
>>52388353
Acer is good for that price range. Get something withouth dedicated gpu, integrated intels can run light gaming well enough and dont eat as much battery.
You want 13" or 15"?
>>52388594
If homeslice doesn't have a stable housing situation he doesn't want a dedicated GPU. He probably wants something lightweight with as much batter life as possible.

yes this is what i meant to say too
Hey /g/, I've had the g502 as my daily mouse for about a year now, and I'm somehow just now realizing it isn't the mouse for me. I like fps games mostly, specifically csgo, and this mouse is too heavy, has too many buttons, and isn't good for fingertip grip which is what I personally like as a grip. I'm looking at the g303 as a replacement. Is that a good choice for the reasons I stated or is there a better mouse out there for me?
>>52388220
Most underrated mouse ever, literally god tier,

Get a Zowie, or a cheap G400 and repair the cord.
Why aren't more people using OpenSuSE? I tried it recently and was genuinely impressed.

Oh, right. I forgot most of /g/ isn't in school/work.
OP here is what you need to do.
Go to community college for a year and finish your basics.
Then transfer to a decent university and major in information systems and minor in business.
While in school you should teach yourself programming languages that are useful.
Also while in school you should work towards getting certs.
During your first semester as a junior you should bother your internship recruiting officer 24/7 until you get an internship you are satisfied with.
Once you graduate you will have the dream resume and jobs will flow...

All BSD thread, including Darwin.
What is your BSD of choice?
How's NeXTBSD and DragonFly doing?
I want to run openbsd but I run freebsd because I need to actually do shit.
>>52388071
Holy fucking shit, Darwin isn't BSD, it doesn't have a BSD kernel, fucking stop being an Apple shill.
>>52388209
I'd use OpenBSD if I didn't have an Nvidia graphics card. Unfortunately, I do, so I use FreeBSD.
>>52388071
Used to use NetBSD and love it, but let it go because it supported pretty much nothing.
It's sad to see you can't actually run BSD system on modern hardware.

I have a serious idea for a new technology that would improve the life of the everyday person. I don't have the resources to produce and test this technology myself. What do I do so that I can capitalize on this idea? pic related

hi /g/
how do I store form data as a javascript variable? for example how would I store the user's email adress as
var email = [email protected]
<form action="thankyou.html" method="post" id="emailcap">
E-mail: <input type="text" name="email">
<input type="submit" value="send"></form>
thanks
quick note: I can't use php on that exact page therefore it must be javascript

I'm assuming you're using jQuery.
Is there something wrong with Xperia phones? Why don't they sell well?

>>52387467
>Is there something wrong with Xperia phones?
They shouldn't have bothered with the Premium. It was a useless gimmick device that probably had a shitty return where people who bought it would have bought the Z5 if it didn't exist.
>>52387467
Because Sony still thinks that they hold the same "premium brand" recognition they had a decade ago.
This isn't the case anymore. They are just like any other company, objectively worse in many ways.
The Xperia line are phones that are not worth what they are sold for, exactly like iPhones, but without the premium status. If they were to drop the prices about $150-200 on each Z phone, then maybe advertise a little bit, it would definitely sell more.
Anyways, I am glad they are...

>>52387467
Because they run android, and there are many choices of android out there and nothing really makes sony stand out.
