Not hard if you're deleting games or 1080p movies.

Is dropbox ok to use?
Yeah...
Can't you figure that out on your own?
Sure, so long as you encrypt the files before uploading them.
It is a proprietary and because it's American it is also likely spyware. So expect to be spied upon. Apart from that it's a decent service.
Come on /g/ you have to admit this CPU is one of the best ever made. Not only does it have amazing single thread performance, it has 4 cores for very competent multi thread performance. Runs stock at 3.4ghz but OCing to 4.2 is almost guaranteed on any decent air cooler. PCI 3.0, native USB 3.0 and SATA3. And you also get somewhat of a decent iGPU when switching GPUs or for when its needed. And all of this with a 77 watt TDP. The only issue with this CPU is they used cheap TIM instead of solder on the die, but you still get quite good overclocks, reaching 4.5 is pretty common....

>amazing single thread performance
How did this benefit you in real life>
>inb4 running benchmarks
>inb4 gaming
I never used it so can't agree that's why I'm asking.
>>52467485
Single thread performance helps everything in the PC, most programs are single threaded so the majority of your programs all run faster due to the higher single thread performance.
I like to think that intel cores are really powerful, but you *only* get 4 while with AMD you have 8 cores but each AMD core is about half as powerful as an Intel core so it kinda evens out. But I would prefer the Intel due to the fact that it runs basically everything really well.
this year I'll go to college and I need a tablet to take notes. Which of these two is better?
The Nvidia shield tablet or Samsung galaxy tab S?
>>52467435
shield hands down imo
pen is waaay better, plus gayms
>>52467435
the better question would be between the shield tab and the google nexus 9.
>tablet
>take notes
Why is my battery life so shitty with Xubuntu?
I had around 7:50h with Windows and now I'm down to 3:40h.
I understand -20%, but -50%?!
I didn't make many alterations to the OS, so it's basically stock.
Any better distributions for battery life?
I hear you OP. It's terrible. I'm going to refrain from putting any Linux distros on my new laptop when I get one. This old one was laggy and decided to try out Xubuntu and I immediately noticed the drop in battery life.
>>52467394
you know that doesnt make any sense?
as xfce is one of the most lightweight dm there is
anyway you may want to look into analyzing running processes etc. maybe deactivate some stuff etc
>>52467394
under arch I get better battery life than using Windows 8/10
I have an acer aspire R11
I get around 9 hours on there whereas windows gave me about 7

late night posting. Wonder what key caps to get.
Best switch passing through.
Viper with clears.
Opinions on this ? Love it - hate it ? One thing for sure, linux can be user friendly for the average computer illiterate user and this distro proves it.

No you will fail at that too. Try manual labor.

No, suicide seems more up your alley
>>52467209
what's wrong with "coder"?
that's what they say in movies, right?
Is it possible to change the DE for Windows?
I always see Linux users with lots of theme diversity while windows users are almost always identical outside of color. Is there no freedom at all to change button size, margins, etc?
>>52467087
Hahahahahahahahahaha
>>52467087
you can install spyware hacks to change those types of things

What's the best hardware manufacturer in PC components /g/? I'm going to have to go with Corsair.
>Great cases
>Best power supplies
>Fantastic RAM
>Great coolers
>>52466943
all 4 are corsair
>>52466993
That's the point anon
>>52466943
I think Fractale makes better looking cases.
Noctua for coolers.
I'd pick Corsair for RAM and PSU though.
What's the benefit of buying the best speakers, computer, headphones, etc.
Will I feel any better, wilL I truly get better audio?
Also, what's the best camera. Is the D5500 truly the best?
>>52466883
Shit will sound better.
The best?
Not a big benefit.
But spending at least 300 or so on some bookshelves?
Plenty.
1000-2000 is where is starts getting hard to notice improvements for stereo systems.
It's a one way road. Once you get into high end audio, generic shit will start sounding shittier and shittier.

which ones do u reocmmend?
Is the KRK VXT8 truly the best?
Just installed Arch Linux and I'm stuck with what to choose for my desktop. Should I go with a DE or a WM?
Why not both?
The whole point is that YOU get to choose.
install the thing
if you dont like the thing, install other thing
Neophyte here.
I'm taking Java I right now (the first programming course I've ever taken) and we've just finished our first week of classes.
So far it's just monkey see monkey do.
When can I expect to be introduced to real programming? Will I have to wait until Java 2?
You're doing real programming right now, learn from it instead of being a little bitch desu
>declaring variables in arbitrary locations instead of at the top
