Hey fellow /g/eeks, so i have a small problem: I've been trying to install lubuntu via usb for my old computer. It always goes to (already installed) gnu grup 1.9.8 menu instead of the start up/installation menu of lubuntu. How can i install the lubuntu to d: drive?
The bios is acer athilon 64x 4000+
Before the bootloader even comes up, spam f12 or delete or whatever the fuck opens the boot devices list on your bios. then select your usb

I did. I freshly reinstalled windows 10 and tried new and old drivers. Nothing changed.

I want to upload my projects to GitHub, but I'm afraid that I will fuck up somewhere and be ridiculed.
How did you start using GitHub? What should a GitHub newfag absolutely know?
What does the K stand for?

Nothing else can explain how buggy that stuff is

I really need some advice right now guys. The new generation of CPU's and GPU's are coming out, and would really like to use them. I bought a PC recently and spent around 690 USD on it. How much could I sell it for? (Minus HDD) I was thinking that I should just get something older that I can use, until the release of does parts.
If you wipe the files and clean it up inside and out, you can easily sell it for what you bought it for.

This isn't gaming faggot.
Is there some way I can hash the contents of my computer so that the police can't confiscate it and dump CP or whatever and frame me?
Like some sort of automatic updating hash system that connects to a personal fileserver, cloud server, and saves a hash file on the computer itself, so that I could show in court that files were added to my computer after it was confiscated and I have the hashes to prove it happened.
>>52474331
The police really does that sort of things in your country? I don't know about cloud and stuff like that but you can use something like IsoBuster to hash your HDD, see pic (I'm sure there're other programs that can do the same too).
You can probably automate the hashing process every X hours or days and even automate uploading the MD5 file to a cloud service of your choice, if you know to use python or java, I guess.

Why did I expect that to end positively? It just left me angry.
SO /g/, are there any good password managers out there?
What are your methods?
>memory
>old school writing them down
>password managers (if so, what are they)
I'm thinking of getting a password manager, but I don't really want to put all my passwords into one place, so i want to know the best managers out there, that are /g/ verified.

Why is CC considered okay by the US?
By your example, why is boxing considered OK?
>>52473859
Because boxing is fake, like most everything on TV, and is for entertainment purposes only. No one is really being harmed.
>>52473833
I know is b8 , but I will reply anyway.
Copyright law gives you the right to share your work in any way you want.
That includes allowing redistribution , reutilization and sharing it for free.
CC is still a copyright license.
Find a better $999 laptop.
Why can't there be a good gaming / powerhouse laptop that doesn't look like complete fucking ricer shit? The design is putting me off from buying it

lol
>>52474600
those are RGB LEDS, just make them white, and it'll look like a metal thinkpad just with the razer logo on the back though but as long as it's not illuminated it's not too bad.
What happened with /g/s distro and ricedb?
It failed just like every other /g/ project.

>Apple invents the modern smartphone
>becomes popular
>then loses against Android phones
>Apple invents the modern tablet
>becomes popular
>then loses against Android and Windows tablets
>Apple invents the modern thin laptop
>becomes popular
>then loses to the Surface Book
Am I the only one seeing a trend?
Apple didn't invent shit.
It popularized those things through very good marketing, but saying they invented it. Hah.
>and I don't think it's losing out to anything either
>>52473399
>Apple
>inventing
Yeah those unpopular mobiles from Microsoft and tablets running Windows XP didn't exist
>>52473426
>>52473431
I chose my words carefully, which is why I said they invented the MODERN version of those things. Obviously, tablets, smartphones, and thin laptops existed before. But the current types of tablets, smartphones, and laptops were invented by Apple.
Most modern smartphones are inspired by the iPhone.
Most modern tablets are inspired by the iPad.
Most modern thin laptops are inspired by the MacBook.
