Seriously. R.I.P. PCs as we know and loved them. This is just shit like bundled Apple gimmick/gadget hardware.
>>52542413
and nobody even cares
I'll move to ganoo/loonies as soon as:
1. Muh software compatibility
2. Muh steam gaymes
I already tried moving over to Linux and love it, but I couldn't live with the limited support we get from software devs. Because of microcuck, they stopped making Skype after 7.0, and muh consumer friends don't like alternatives.
I'll switch over as soon as devs start caring about Linux support. Until then I'm basically forced to use wincuck.
Where were you when you upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7 and realized it was poo and reverted back to windows 7?
Fucking piece of shit OS
>muh ads
>muh crappy start menu
>muh incompabilities
Is this the death of microstuff?
>>52542406
it was dead after 7

Don't forget it's a botnet.
Hey /g/, I just found something really weird in my computer. I can't post a pic, but it looks like the microphone on this board - except that it has an opening on the top side (and there's a (+) stamped on it. On the bottom, there are two wires soldered (-) (+) and they're severed about 2 centimeters from it.
It was located near the HDD.
will post a quick drawing in the next post
Is it a motherboard speaker maybe?
It's a fucking capacitor, you moron!!
>>52542360
No, it wasn't connected anywhere...
Anybody know how to prevent speccy from loading the network section? In debug mode it's easy, but how do I make it permanent? Reading the debug txt didn't help, i also tried with settings in a .ini but i can't figure it out. Please help me /g/ents.

I want to switch from winblows 10 to linux, is ubuntu the easiest and most compatible distro to install?
>calling windows "winblows"
yes, perfect for you kiddo
don't
Yes.
Okay guys, so I'm in the market for a new laptop. Currently have a lenovo U140 ultrabook but fed up of its shitty build quality and lack of power.
Looking for the ultimate (impossible?) blend of build quality, good screen, gaming capabilities etc. Now I know usually in threads like this, the rMBP is highly recommended. I I certainly like the look of these. However for gaming, I know they are less than ideal.
So my question is this: could I get a 15" rMBP with a discrete graphics card and then install Windows in a dual boot configuration. As far as I...

Why do /g thinks 21:9 ultrawide monitors are meme?
It's the very best setup I've ever used with my 13" laptop. It's superior when you are working on it, especially when coding, and you have to keep the reference open alongside your IDE.
>>inb4 muh gaymen
>>52542145
Not cost effective.
Multimonitor and 40"4k(no scaling) are more cost effective if you want workspace area
>>52542187

Overpriced and you need to place them far away from you, defeating the purpose of having a large monitor. I have a 28" 16:10 and even with that I had to place it further than I'd like, when I upgrade I'll go back to 24".

Hey guys. I'd really like to know if a high capacity SSD is really all that necessary. I put my operating system on my old Intel 160GB SSD, and the things like games and torrents, I store on two other hard drives. So, what do you think?
You have to have one for general storage and backup. Once you do, you will never go back
>>52541729
Its more than enough for an os.
I have a 256Gb Samsung 950 pro in the m.2 drive, it has my os and a fair few games on it.
I use my 500gb SSD for storage
No one "needs" anything, but putting your OS and your two favorite games on an SSD is what most people consider reasonable because it's not ridiculously expensive
Sounds like that's what you want to do so go do it

So germand is using Silent SMS to locate people without them knowing.
Is there a way to hide from them?
I was thinking maybe equiping a raspberry pi with a simcard that then sends normal sms to my phone via the internet?!
what the fuck are you talking about
>>52541625
google silent sms, basically the person that wants to track you down sends a sms to your phone but you can't see it. this activates your phone and they can see where you are.
>>52541592
Why don't you just keep your fucking phone at home when you're doing something you're not supposed to be doing?
What went wrong?
They have their niche
X86 at those sizes is pretty neat

It is, but I can't get any of their products in Australia.
I'd love one of these, came out last year iirc?

The first computer I built after lurking /g/ was back in December 2007.
I built it around an AMD Athlon X2 4400+ processor (codename: Brisbane). Asus motherboard, WD blue hard drives, corsair RAM and Thermaltake PSU, and a Lian Li simple black case.
I loved that computer, it was the first one I built by myself, and I browsed /g/ with it, and played all kinds of steam games.
It is now 2016, and I have relocated to Brisbane, Australia a few years ago. Today I just realised what the processor was called. When I bought the CPU I had never heard of Brisbane....

Thanks for letting us read you're blog OP.
We have many feels over your lack of geographical knowlege.

To sum up my first building process:
Thermal paste. Everywhere.
i stupidly got a small case with awful options for cable management. and i had a gtx 460 or someshit which i'm pretty sure i was memed into buying from 4chan, since the card was an overheating piece of shit.
ITT: Clover bugs
FLOOOOOEEEEEENS
I know this isn't a bug but flash support WHEN?
I have flash support using FlashFox, so why can't Clover integrate it?
I gave up on clover
I'll remain on 1.2.11 and using dashchan for saving album since clover can't save on sdcard and v2 can't even save a single image on sdcard
Instead of making improvement floens took out good things and replace it with unuseful things for muh aestetic
thanks floens
