Why do you keep making this thread? You don't even update the pasta, that Tox hasn't worked in over 1.5 years.

Lets have a thread about graphic programming. I have seen a lot of general programming talk on /dpt/ but lets have thread directed to graphics programming. SDL, OpenGL, everything goes
>what do you generally use?
>what project are you working on?
>how hard was it to learn?
>do you enjoy using it?
>>52667939
>what do you generally use?
OpenGL
>what project are you working on?
I'm working on a simple RTS game and also on a software rasterizer for fun, which uses OpenGL only for drawing to the screen.
>how hard was it to learn?
It took me some time to get my head around how modern OpenGL works.
>do you enjoy using it?
Kinda, figuring out how to optimize the rendering process...

a simple UI to execute some commands

A bit
>>do you enjoy using it?
yes, very fun

I just started to learn SDL. Can someone explain why it does this plain faggotry?#if defined(SDL_MAIN_NEEDED) || defined(SDL_MAIN_AVAILABLE)
#define main SDL_main
#endif
/**
* The prototype for the application's main() function
*/
extern C_LINKAGE int SDL_main(int argc, char *argv[]);
It's in SDL_main.h .
Okay anons, you have a button which will eradicate only one of these three companies from existence

I have a OnePlus X. Consumerism and lack of Android Marshmallow is making me look at the 5X. Should I sell my OPX and give in?
Not interested in a new phone but has actions tried the priv yet? Is it total shit or what?
Should I buy a 4790K or are the TIM/delidding/temperature issues enough of a reason to avoid them?
>>52681613
get 5820k
>>52681665
This tbqh senpai. There's zero reason to consider anything else unless you can afford a 5960X.
>>52681665
>>52681691
>tfw also considering 5820K
dammit but it costs like $200 more for me because I can only pick a $300 motherboard. Let me try to find a cheaper motherboard.
If you're not using zsh, you're bad at computers.
i use zsh and i find zealotry like this pretty faggotronic
> needing people to hold your dick while you piss
good one

Give me one good reason to switch from bash to zsh and I'll do it right now. I even have it already installed.
>Apple removes headphone jack from their iPhone
You knew they had to re-coup their money back somehow. Its a brilliant business move.
>>52679321
Yeah they're really hurting for cash
>Apple posted earnings of $18.4 billion on $75.9 billion revenue, beating consensus projections of $18.22 billion in profit but falling short of a projected $76.67 billion in revenue
>>52679597
Making iFags buy the battery separately worked out really well.
Next they'll start selling the screen separately too.

Top kek, I knew their products were shit but I never imagined they were too incompetent to make a safe charger. Something even the smallest companies out there accomplish.

I am shocked.

Why? Using an apple product?

Memes aside, what do you guys really think of Zen and Polaris?
current amd cpu 8370 is rougly equal to a 4670k i5.
intel 6700k is about 20% faster than both of those
Zen is supposed to be 40% faster than those.
Polaris is 14nm where pascal is 16nm, they will either be very similar or amd will beat intel because of being on a more effeciant node.
Also what people forget is that consoles running amd system will be easier to optimize the ports for amd pc setup. especially when dx12 fully kicks in.
>>52674911
By the time Zen is out, Kaby Lake will be out, too.
>>52674688
Polaris will be fucking awesome, Zen might be okay
Firefox 44, it's slow as shit and youtube doesnt work properly. Did google sabotage this deliberately or what? I'm thinking about jumping to chrome, it's way more snappy from end user standpoint.
WORKS FINE FOR ME DESU BAKA SENPAI
>>52673848
you tube has problem even with 43.
try allow ff to open popup on firefox when on youtube. in 43 works
>>52673848
47.0a1, works perfectly. I mean, plenty of bugs here and there because it's alpha, but jewtube plays without problems. Try a 64-bit beta with Electrolysis (e10s).
So I have a class with someone who I forgot about. I forgot that I hated him, until the first day of class when he sat next to me and started discussing PCs.
Long story short,
> He told me that he ordered the 2GB 960 over the 4GB version because the memory bandwidth was too small to use all 4GB.
> He starts talking shit about mine, how "I didn't build it right," and how I shouldn't have spent $100 on my Enthoo pro, when I could've gotten a case for $30. One "selling point"...
