I spent a long time on that rely and now you're making an early thread : |
I summon all you great haskell erudites to this thread
I am a begginer in haskell, and programing in general, and i was making some exercises about binary trees. I understand recursion a bit.
This is the type of the tree:data Tree a = Empty | Node a (Tree a) (Tree a)
Can you help a fellow beginner?
Also, haskell general discussion.

Is that John Redcorn?

I heard Private Internet Access is quite good (haven't gotten the chance to try it yet), but I'd like to hear some other opinions. (Preferably fast, cheap and able to post on 4chan)
Set one up on your own network.

My upspeed for that is not good enough. I also really don't want to stay in my country if you know what I mean.

Will Microsoft ever release a (proper) sequel to the 3.0? If i move from mine, i'd absolutely love to upgrade to a newer version but it seems as thought Microsoft isn't currently paying attention to the Intellimouse line.
inb4
>but anon, the Intellimouse 4.0 exists
Mentioning the 4.0 is kinda like mentioning any of the two sequels to the Matrix.
>>52639450
lol no
Good mice won't be made except for gaymen mice in like 5 years
>>52639450
Fuck you man the second Matrix movie was awesome
>>52639509
Didn't really have the pop culture impact of the first one, nor was it in any way as awe inspiring and geek-marvelous.
In short, 1999 Matrix was essentially 1337.

Hey /g/
Any coders willing to help out a noob?
I've recently started getting into coding and i've been doing a course on the essentials for ruby on rails, i can use "Subl gemfile" to open the gemfile in sublime text, but then when i try to open "Subl gemfile.lock" It's opening a blank page in sublime text.
Tried googling around with no luck.
Any help would be much appreciated.

1. did you runbundle install?
2. what are you expecting to be in it?
>>52639704
I've sorted it out now, I'd closed Powershell and reopened it but it had reset back to not recognizing "Subl" So i had to insert "et-Alias subl 'C:\Program Files\Sublime Text 2\sublime_text.exe' again, but then i realised i have to add it to my "Powershell profile" so i'm trying to create one now with no luck.
And this is what i was expecting to be in it, which is no resolved fully once i create a profile in Powershell
>>52639424
so dont subl gemfile.lock
I'll start with an easy one.

I got a BA in Audio Programming
I got an AS in Computer Network Management
2+ years experience working as a field technician doing everything from residential bs to medium sized business network cabling and server setups.
I know my way around Win, Mac and Linux.
Only job offer in a 3 month period in LA has been part-time grave shift at data center to basically sit around and make sure nothing explodes for $12.00 an hour.
Am I worth that little /g/?
Audio Programming?
what exactly is that?
to your question, the answer is probably no, you're probably not in the right job
>>52639385
yes
>>52639385
I program audio via C++, totally outdated nowadays in the recording industry, but that's how old school foley sound and video game audio was made. It tied into my audio engineering major so its really Audio Engineer/Programming. I tried the music industry for a year, and discovered everyone is a pompous cock at every recording studio and thought my time was better spent buying them cigarettes and coffee than actually staying in studio assisting on projects and or training me. So I said fuck that and went back...

To be fair at least their remaining business is carrier grade networking and 5G research.
High margin products, lots of juicy IP to milk.
>Transfer data from SSD to SSD
>Blazing fast, doesn't take much time
>Transfer same file to my HDD
>Shit takes forever
But yeah, I fell for a meme. How can there be people who actually think SSDs aren't great?
>>52639367
All this meme shit going around is just poorfag excuse for sitting in moms basement with no income so they have to stick with IDE drives.

Safety of data
Size of storage
Price per gigabyte.
I love my ssd, but I can be objective about my tech decisions.
why not use both?
If you have something that you need to be able to store, use a hdd and just keep the system and the often used files on your ssd.
most laptops have a m.2 for your ssd and 2.5" for you hdd.
What could be a possible reason for such requirements?
It's not only here, but a lot of websites won't let you set a password longer than 16 characters, or won't tell you about it and will just cut it.
>>52639350
>What could be a possible reason for such requirements?
stupidity, incompetence, pajeets, willful negligence
Don't want too safe passwords. Or just incompetence

That bitch ain't got nothimg on Lisa.
Yes I like Lisa's reviews a lot, she makes recommendations based on the audience the device is targeted to. The only reviewer I like more is the phonearena guy (the russian sounding one).
