Those jobs like lionbridge or whatever in the quakeroats pastebin.
Are they actually decent? I would love to do that for work if I can get 40 hours a week out of it and they dont do random layoffs.

bumping.
How do get into this distributed meme? I want to have a cluster of 3 machines running the same array of containers in docker, I can get networking and shit working fine using swarm.
My problems start at the application layer, using Go I want a fast KV store for exchanging shit like sessions within the cluster, but it's now clear that none of the bindings really support redis's "cluster" mode, using haproxy seems retarded since i'll just have a single point of failure...

glad you figured it yourself, somehow longer to do but easier to memorize.
As an other anon said, you don't have to put www. before. http:// is enough.
I make that mistake often when I began web dev, it makes me smile that you are doing the same.
stop
don't close anything and post a screenshot of your ram usage.
pic related, mine. just edge open and steam running in the background installing witcher 3.
Good thing you have all that ram!
>>52868817
you posted, but didn't post your ram.
post it.
Alright op
Why do people go out of their way to call it GNU/Linux?
Can't they stop being an autist and call it GNU like a normal human being?
>>52868561
What you're referring to as a Chair, is in fact, a LEG/Chair, or as I've recently taken to calling it, a Legs plus chair. A chair not an furniture unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Legs system made useful by the LEGS core-materials, Reaction force utilities and vital gravitational system components comprising a full piece of furniture as defined by PP&LB.
Agreed desu
Nobody calls Windows "NT" and nobody calls Mac OS "XNU". The "kernel is an operating system" argument is just a backwards rationalization for using the wrong name because everyone else does.
>>52868561
Linux has stronger branding. The penguin is more recognizable than the stupid wildebeest. More people know what Linux is than what GNU is. It's too late.
Let's keep this going guys -
This thread is dedicated to small, affordable devices that are fun to own and easy to carry.
I will start, Sony Vaio P!
>>52868417
I saw someone with one of these the other day.
Ugly as hell, but they were running debian
This is as productive on the go as I get.
>>52868417
I use a Fujitsu LifeBook T4220.
always wanted to try that sony vaio, how is it?
So, this is /g/'s current state. Good job!

Forgot to Yellow the Chrome thread.
"So, Firefox is literally useless" gives it a nice yellow [-ADS] tag.
I allow the AMD Zen thread OP as a non ShitThread™ since it doesn't open with a positive or negative sentiment.

Good business model if you ask me.
Let me guess: the unemployed are those who hated their math classes, barely passed them, and wanted to code games

Don't forget to get your 2GB free botnet storage anon
https://security.google.com/settings/security/secureaccount
Free 2GB Google Drive storage for doing a security check on your account (checking app permissions, checking security events, etc)
Got 50GB when I got my Moto X. Haven't used a single byte. HDDs are pretty cheap and I set up a ftp server if I want something when I'm away.
I get unlimited storage (files cannot be larger than 5tb) because my uni is partnered with google

Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™

X220 - 12.5", lightweight

x230 is the only usable ThinkPad. Prove me wrong

xx20 thinkpads are still good enough, and HD3000 is enough for 4k youtube and 1080p chinese cartoons.
>>52866691
>Ivy Bridge
literally housefire
literally worse battery life than sandy

same as X220 except no 7-row keyboard

does nothing the hd3000 can't
+ more expensive
+ same display options

Why are almost all linux DE so shitty?
Other than cinnamon they all suck
Unity: Ugly. Not configurable at all
GNOME: Made for tablets. Very lacking for power users
KDE plasma : Unstable as fuck
Xfce, lxde, etc: Ugly and feature lacking
Cinnamon is slow some times because they use memescript and python, but usable
MATE is pretty OK though
The meego DE is really cute

Xfce is pretty good
