hdmi
DVI because it doesn't have HDCP. Also it's an open standard.

Intended for users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
There are four ways to try Linux, you can:
1) Install a Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
2) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full Linux experience".
3) Dual-boot Linux with Windows/Mac (recommended if you want to learn more about Linux)
4) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with Linux (not...

Why does /g/ hate dual core processors?
Do you not realise that for many people a dual core APU or Pentium is more than enough for their uses?
Most people for who those actually are good enough will inevitably shit up the computer somehow, or if they ever decide they want to do slightly more it will just be complete shit.
Also modern software is shitty and bloated.
More cores are always better.

2 cores isn't enough, plus dual cores are usually clocked lower as well

Linux has no inherent intended use
>>52885885
What the hell does this even mean?
Windows and Mac are both heavily targeted to normies. Facebook, Skype, YouTube, Netflix, etc... Are all they are marketed for. The only thing Linux can't so that windows can is gaming and meme software like "Official NFL Fantasy Draft with Xbox One Integration". If that's your deciding factor for a device then maybe you don't deserve a computer at all.
I digress. Linux can consume more types of media than windows 'natively', offers a full office productivity suite, can run many games but I'll admit this area is lacking, and do pretty much everything windows can but costs you less, gives you privacy and freedom and is more stable than windows.
>>52885861
Pisses me off that APT and sudocuck distributions are the ones that are getting a foothold.
Still, as long as Linux gets a greater market penetration, I'm happy.
