Anyone else having weird frame jumps with 60fps VP9 video lately? Only happens with latest git sources and is definitely not a decoding error
Could anyone convert this madvr setting into mpv.conf, especially the sharpness value?
What's the best mpv donscaler when prescale?
In madvr I used bicubic150 AR, what the equivalent settings in mpv?
Yes I recently switched to linux completely.

How can an OS be so abysmal?
The window manager is useless. Managing multiple windows is the core function of any modern OS. Yet Apple thinks it's a good idea to force everybody to use a retarded dock that is only able to show an icon for one window. Their workaround is several hackish shortcuts, but managing multiple windows of the same program remains a nightmare. You can't even close programs by closing their windows - how intuitive is that?
The default file manager is laughable. It can't even show the directory tree on the left - apparently this feature is not desirable since there are under-development 3rd party explorers that support this either. There's no way to edit your current path in text format. There's no way to have files open with 1 click.
There's a retarded amount of functions that are performable only with a keyboard. I love shortcuts, but not providing a visual alternative is an insult to UI design - it's ok though, leaving out all the useless buttons gives us more beautiful empty space to stare at, right? You can't even move/cut files without a keyboard.
There's no respectable developer base. Most of the software you can find are simplistic and barebones, and cost anything upwards 10$. It's clear that they're made by a bunch of amateurs in hope of an easy buck.
The Apple community mentality is cancerous. "Why would you want to open files and directories with 1 click?" "Why would you want to remap your keys?" Gee I wonder why the OS is so shit, its users are fine with anything Apple feeds them.

Nope, OS X is a shit-tier OS in terms of usability and developer support.
>There's no way to edit your current path in text format
Haven't used Mac OS for a while, but I'm pretty sure there was something in the Go menu for that.
>You can't even move/cut files without a keyboard.
Cut/Paste in the Edit menu doesn't work? Or drag-and-drop.
I feel like PDAs or "smart devices", as they are called now, were a lot better before iPhone.
Do you?
>>53049166
This brings me memories
>>53049166
Nah, but iPhones definitely don't have the same professional "Oh look that guy's busy with adult stuff!" feel that pda's had.
>>53049350
I feel that PDA's and beepers made you look like a busy, wealthy dude.
Back when technology wasn't as accessible as it is today.

>7870 just died
>Pascal and Polaris around the corner
>mfw I know first gen new architectures are always shit
how the fuck do I wait this out? Should I just buy a 980 and call it a day?
Buy 3-4 fried 7950's for less than 40$ a piece
Bake all of them
Sell one to make money back and crossfire the rest that work after being baked

Mac OSX already has zfs. Linux BTFO again.

I can't even begin to understand what the purpose of this is.
Java isn't computer science, it's software engineering.
First day of CS class?

Better to realize it now and get out.
Great on you anon for being proactive.
Do you think internet addiction is a serious problem or is the hype just our generation's version of "TV is the devil."
Are you addicted to the internet? Be honest. No judgment, just curious about your thoughts.
yes, i am addicted to both
also to pic related
cheers
>>53045903
Kill yourself
>>53045903
The internet is so valuable that we can't really demonize it. It certainly can be addictive, but it just boils down to self control on whether it will become a problem or not, similar to television.
>passwords must be between 8-20 characters
>passwords must contain a mix of upper and lower case characters, and numbers or symbols
>>53045312
Honestly I don't care anymore. I use "asdasdasd" or something like that when I must register somewhere, unless it is really important like my normiebook or Gmail password. For Internet forums and shit who cares nobody will try to brute force it.
>>53045312
I bet you would use password or your dogs name as the password
>>53045348
Wrong fag.
six or more truly random words all in lower case is at this point in time impossible to brute force. Too many bits of entropy. They'd literally take thousands of years.
Do people around here still use Windows 8.1?
>>53043238
I only use Vista 32-bit :^)
Probably, but they won't tell you because they are tired of Linux defense force with poo in loo memes.
>>53043291
The issue comes with paying attention to those
What type of programmer are you?
Choose one from each:
>tabs or spaces
>single or double quoted string
>variableName or variable_name
>same line { or new line {
>>53042344
Spaces, mostly single quotes, snake_case, { on new line.
Tabs, Single Quoted string, VariableName, New line {. All about that aesthetics mang
>>53042344
tabs
double quote
for variables it's variable_name and for methods it''s variableName()
same line {
Looking at new graphics cards and I notice people saying that the GTX960 gets no benefit if you buy the 4gb model instead of the 2gb model. Is this true? How is that even possible?
>>53041576
in most situations, by the time you use more than 2GB of VRAM, the 960 is already maxed out. If you need more than 2GB of VRAM, you likely need a better GPU as well
>>53041629
Is this worth even buying? Everywhere I look it is recommended, and it is right in my price range.
>>53041661
Is it an upgrade or part of a new build?
