What do you guys think about running What's the pro's and the con's for running Windows on MacBook Pro (or any other Mac)?
Is it a waste, have you done it? If so how did it work out?

Cons: It's Windows, which may or may not be an issue.

Also:
Pro: You have a laptop
Con: Botnet OS on overpriced hardware
+: Works great.
-: trackpad is absolutely shit on Windows compared to OSX

Friendly reminder that this 6 years old torrent client blows away all the other clients, and it's still widely used around the world.
How's your stalling libcrap client working for you ?
>>53061096
Blows in what way?
The only thing superior in uTorrent is clean UI.
I can push 50Mbps of constant torrent traffic with Deluge in daemon+webui mode on Debian. I had to start throttling my own traffic because of the bandwidth overage bills from the colocation provider.
TTorrent is king

If you had to take Intro to Java or Intro to "C" to transfer to your desired university, which would you choose and why? Keep in mind, I'm completely new to programming and just took an Intro to Programming course as a pre-req. Pic mostly related but Python isn't a choice...
>>53161969
If you're completely new to programming then go with C.
>and just took an Intro to Programming course as a pre-req
So, you don't really care about programming? Then go with Java, will give you way less headaches
C
What is some paid software that has been completely eclipsed by a free alternative?

What went wrong /g/?
>>53055406
You can download (or in most cases point your package management system at) anything. Doesn't mean that the project as a whole supports, advocates, doesn't abhor it.
>software that doesn't respect your freedom is rightfully shunned on every major linux distribution
Wrong. KDE was closed source at that time and the most used DE too.
>What went wrong /g/?
Nothing unless you are a freetard

How is this a technology question?
It's not about how stuff works, it's about what should be or what shouldn't, you know a question of ethics. Not technology.
Im going to be getting a Nexus 6P (coming from a 5s)
Kind of tired of the boring apple stuff, their updates slow down the phone, can't roll back. And looking at my phone now, i use more google services than anything. I don't like siri, apple maps, i don't own any itunes content. and all my apps are on google play as well.
So what is an absolute must when it comes to getting an android phone? Like any optimizations or anything like that? I know im gonna get me a gba and nds emulator goin.
If you plan on getting root access, get AdAway.
Also Android uses a really nice format for applications (like Java's but without the stack), so you can edit applications more easily if you ever need that.
>>53053499
Root, AdAway(systemwide, incl inside apps), GBAEMU, DraStic, MXplayer, Total Commander.
There's really not much else.
>>53053763
>Total Commander
>not bash
Where would Windows be today if they never stole Apples OS?
Nonexistent.
I prefer Windows and Android to OSX and iOS, I'm not an Apple shill. But it is true, Bill Gates stole from Jobs.
