Seems fine
When are they going to teach you some kind of useful skills that will make you employable?
ITT Websites that still exist, for some reason.
Snowchan.org
How do you connect to the internet, /g/? Ethernet, wireless USB adapter, wireless PCI Express adapter...?
Ethernet cable on pc
Wifi on notebook
Having a pci (not e) card like pic related, but drivers dont work on win10. (For convenience, wifi would be nice to have on my pc)

No.
Yes.
Maybe.
Anybody else think we should ditch CSS and JS?
Websites these days are unbelievably slow and ugly.
Not ditch, but teach people how to not use it retardedly
Shut up faggot CSS is awsome

good one, OP. I had a chuckle.
I'm a scumbag who don't have much motivation to do anything. I'm pretty much a NEET even though that on paper I'm still going to college. I'm enrolled because it's free. Besides, there are perks from being a college student here (cheap transportation, cheap tickets for events, no maintenance fees on credit card, etc) and I kinda enjoy some classes. But they'll kick me out by the end of 8th year. Fair enough.
So I've been trying to improve myself a little, you know. I'm already 26. I can't live like a cockroach forever,...

not saying you deserve what happened to you , but this can be a seen as a lesson .
you should have kept that piece of code to yourself and only released the binaries
you only go open source with a license when you have a team and the means to protect your code if you get plagiarized.

>They removed my name from the source files. They removed the license. They didn't pointed the repository where my tool lies. They simply took my work, made it their own and started making some bucks with it. And if I were to take legal measures, I'd probably spend more money with lawyers then earn it from those little thieves.
Sounds to me like you hate freedom.
>they simply didn't give me any credit for it. They removed my name from the source files. They removed the license.
This is wholesale copyright infringement. This has nothing to do with open source and everything to do with fraud on their count.
I have a problem with my system and i would love if some of you guys could help me resolve it.I have windows 7. So basicly one day my pc just shut down with no warnings, and since then it has been rebooting all the time for no apparent reason. The reboots became more often and after a few days i couldnt even boot up so i reinstalled windows 7 and for a few days it was okay. Then the reboots started again and I noticed when it reboots it often lefts my mouse and keyboard turned off for some reason and then i need to shut it down and turn it on to get them to start working again....

there is literally nothing wrong with arch linux
i use it on every computer i own, including a production server and nothing has ever happened to them in 4 years of this
it's usually an error in your thinking, not the os

Indeed The Arch Wiky lacks one iota of a mistake and is meticulous in its documentation. Literal perfection.
Another reason to use Arch.

How do you make money writing GPL software? Wouldn't any sane business Jew avoid GPL altogether for permissive or proprietary because they don't want liability for a Cease and Desist from the Software Freedom Conservancy?
When will Copyleftists admit their utopian vision for the tech economy won't work? That most people want something that just werks and couldn't care less about developer and user freedums? That proprietary/permissive will always win out over copyleft because they're allowed to make more money?
Don't tell me you'll...

>How do you make money writing GPL software?
The only thing the GPL mandates is that the source code travels with the binaries. You can still write code for money. It's just that if your customers want the source code you must give it to them. This is to prevent businesses from having a monopoly rooting from dependencies.
>>53204272
I'd also like to add, this is also to prevent businesses from having a monopoly over the users. Users, when they buy software, have a right to know -exactly- what the program they purchased is doing.
Selling a program and now giving this freedom to them is like buying a car but not being able to pop the hood.
>>53204272
It also allows others to freely redistribute your unmodified code under the GPL, either making money off of your work or just giving it away for free
it is literally impossible to write software for a living if you use the GPL

fucking normies
OP, so I can not be ignorant, can you please tell me what it is, specifically, you're addressing? What's so dangerous about backdooring a phone or defending the fbi and how does the contribute to the degeneration of our technological progress?
>>53201324
Fucking hell do I even have to explain it? Get off of /g/ if you don't even understand encryption basics like how backdoors don't care who uses them or how they got to them, or the avalanche effect such a security hole can have on the rest of the system regardless of the backdoor being used or not.
Also this shit is way too extensive a subject to just explain it to you. You're gonna have to do a lot of reading, experimenting and thinking, anon.
