I want to install Windows 7 and update it without the Windows 10 botnet. Can I get a comprehensive list of all the updates to avoid?

So I should run this before I start downloading updates on my clean install?

Check for updates but don't download them

So I guess this is a cybersecurity general, huh?
I'm currently working on a research project at my school that deals with cybersecurity awareness. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

If Lisp is such a god-tier language, then why is it vastly unknown, unused for projects?
Geniunely curious here
It's not unknown and it's not unused for projects. The reason it's not more widely used, now that's a good question. I think it's because of Unix and education.
>>53492401
UNIX, the great popularizer of "if it has a REPL, you can stick it in a pipeline", responsible for the obscurity of a language that was the innovator of the REPL? You'd think it would fit right in.

I've put the input.conf both in mpv's folder and in appdata folder but shit doesn't fucking work
My rig shat the bed when the SSD bricked and as a result I lost a shit ton of important personal data.
Been using a cheapo laptop until now that I have the money for a new setup. I've decided to stick with mechanical drives as their failure isn't nearly as abrupt or permanent unless someone can convince me otherwise.
Anyone who refers to their computer as a rig needs to fucking shoot themselves

>>53492154
Do you imagine if you just used your SSD for the OS and installed programs as /g/ did tell you and not for storage, and now you would still keep your data

I'm flying a Hubsan that my friend gave to me. Shit is pretty cute and nice so far, but I do wanna get deeper into the hobby. I just gotta save up for everything else now. Well that and learning how to fly from different perspectives. Shit is confusing yo.

This is a zmr250 right? It looks like the battery goes inside. Do you have more pics? I've never seen one set up like this

Not very much, since if all else fails they can just switch everyone over manually. What are you going to do, switch to Linux?
>>53491145
>switch to Linux?
I've had some people coming to me and asking if I could hit them up with summuh dat Linux since Microsoft started installing Windows 10 automatically, even with everything turned off. So, yes, people are switching.
>>53491145
>What are you going to do, switch to Linux?
That is exactly what I'll do if it installs that botnet without my consent.

Im about to install my first linux distort but I am stuck between gentoo and arch linux.. Which one do you think would be best for a beginner in terms of learning? Also Should I use an installer like architect or just do it myself(I am open to doing it myself if it results in me learning more or a better outcome)?
>>53488131
Hi dear friend,
These questions have been asked and answered about a billion times. The only answers you are going to invoke are stupid memes and Arch vs. other distros kind of pointless discussions.
I wouldn't want to discourage you from asking questions but being able to find the correct place to ask questions is also an ability you have to develop if you are doing your first linux installation.
In short, at least ask this question in Friendly Linux Thread.
Yours sincerely,
sage

i thought you want to learn something....
maybe you should just begin with a less complicate to install/set up distro and learn how to administrate a GNU/Linux system before trying to build one from scratch
For people who understand the internal structure of operating systems it is clear *BSD and especially FreeBSD is objectively the best operating system ever created. This is why Apple used it as a foundation for their OS X,. They knew what they were doing, but they are proprietary fags.
Do you realize that if GNU/fags didn't ruin it all by pushing the Linux meme, we could literally enjoy PC heaven today? If everyone used FreeBSD , FreeBSD would have enough support, good drivers and even games.
Seriously history went the wrong way, FreeBSD should have won.

>For people who understand the internal structure of operating systems it is clear *BSD and especially FreeBSD is objectively the best operating system ever created.
Could you elaborate on that statement please?
>>53488105
es.
BSD-kernel are not stand-alone kernels but are developed as being part of a whole. Of course, this is merely a philosophical point of view and not a technical one, but this give system coherence.
BSD-kernel are developed with a more conservative point-of_view and more concern about staying consistent with their approach than having fancy features.
Linux-kernel are more about drivers, features, ... (the more the better).
As greatly stated somewhere else:
It is Intelligent Design and Order (BSD*)...

I painted my HP Mini 311 and installed Snow Leopard.
It has 3gb of ram, 2.4ghz oc'd atom, unlocked bios to allow wifi card, and nvidia ion (9400m) gpu
Thoughts? I had originally given it to my nephew but he didn't use it and lost the charger. It was pretty scratched up and full of crumbs so I thought I would breath some life into it. I used to play GTA SA:MP on it years ago.
