how do you keep safe?

I've blocked all Windows updates and use MWB and spybot. Haven't had any trouble since all my important files are on a desktop computer that's not connected to the internet anyway
Are there ANY phones that match all of this criteria on Verizon?
Removable battery
MicroSD Slot
Unlockable(or unlocked) bootloader
I can't find anything. There are some that come close, like the V10, but its bootloader is locked down tight. Then there's the OnePlus Two, but it has no removable storage. Is there something I'm missing?
You want things they started slowly getting rid of.
Go look at really old phones
>>53604230
You say they're getting rid of them, but I can name modern phones that have these features. There just isn't a single phone I can find that has all of them together.

>Literally any (international) samsung device released before the s6
I've worked on programming projects in the past but now I'm doing something for the first time that takes advantage of pre-existing libraries.
I'm writing a non-free app that uses two libraries, one which is released under GNU General Public License v2, and ImageMagick (http://www.imagemagick.org/script/license.php)
so what do i need to do? Is it enough if I sell my app and simply add an "Open Source Licenses" dialog somewhere inside the app that gives thanks to the gpl lib and imagick?
>>53603970
Contact a lawyer
gpl is vague cryptic shit
>>53603970
you can't write a non-free app that uses a GPL library. If you want to use that, you have to release it under the GPL.
not that you should be writing non-free apps anyway.
>>53603970
>I'm writing a non-free
Why? Are you trying to distribute a virus or something?
>GNU General Public License v2
You're fucked mate. If you're distributed that program to anybody, you're obligated to give them the source code too.
When will we get system wide search in Windows 10?
when NTFS is replaced by a good filesystem
>>53603483
Oh yeah anon! Sick ass burn. You sure showed him
You're supposed to use web search so you see advertising
What does using a supercomputer feel like?
Pretty cold if you touch it desu, probably hot on the inside
>>53603398
Like using a server
But cooler

Sure buddy.
How do you register for the arch forums? Sorry to shitpost this but I really need an answer to my problem and I can't register...
It keeps telling me the answer to
What is the output of "date -u +%V$(uname)|sha224sum|sed 's/\W//g'"?
is wrong. Anyone know how to get past this
>>53603131
go back to widows, your not meant to be here.
>>53603181
I haven'y been on windows in a long time. Been mostly on openSUSE.
>>53603189
you're retarded, go play on windows.
Anybody else think it's cute to see kids on /g/ arguing about Debian vs Arch vs Gentoo when none of them have even bothered to run an *actual* Unix OS?
It's so bizarre to see people who ostensibly grasp the concept of KISS design loudly declaring their allegiance to it yet using software (systemd, ALSA, the list goes on) that spits in its face.
>actual UNIX os
He's clearly talking about OS X
>>53603019
OS X is good too.
I'm part of the "anything but Windows or Linux" club.
>>53603029
>anything but Windows or Linux
Yeah I'd rather a proper unix too, but lets not get stupid, if the choice is windows or linux, linux wins every time.
>have mediocre laptop for gaming
>discover Geforce Experience optimization

>all games "optimized" run in 30 fps
did they optimize it for taking screenshots?
>>53602113

You'll have to spend some money if you want a good gaming experience
No kind of software optimization will magically let you run every game at high settings with 60fps
That's just not going to happen op
What is the best way to learn Linux?
I've used Ubuntu for a long time, but it is so user friendly I never learned anything.
So I'm looking for some good projects that can teach me more! So far the only "challange" I've had was to set up a dedicated 1.6 server on text based Debian. It was easy, fun and I learned more then I have watching videos with people just naming command after command.
I learn much better by doing, so if you have any fun projects to recommend. Or any other way of learning, Youtube tutorials are welcome!
Anything...

Here is a challenge: Uninstall Linux and get Windows 10.
>>53601753
use it, make it your daily driver and utilize CLI as much as you can
>>53601769
Do Linux users even know what the CLIt does?
So, Win 7 fag here, I spent the better part of last week installing and trying out most major distros, here's my experience with them:
The Bad:
Debian - Their website was confusing, and even when I found the proper iso, they made sure to make the installation as obnoxious and difficult as possible. Into the trash it went.
OpenSUSE - didn't even install. Got stuck at the loading screen for 5 minutes, got bored, restarted the PC and never returned.
Fedora, KDE - It did install, but the installer was really buggy and confusing too. Didn't like this...

And then you realized installing Linux is half the battle. Cucking your self is the struggle you deal with on a daily basis with Linux. I bet you went back to Windows or maybe even upgraded to Windows 10 after all that nonesense.
Here's my experiences:
The bad:
All of them, terminal is for kids that want to waste time, basic compatibility requires you downloading it, further wasting time, just a mess and a WASTE
The good:
Uninstalling any distro and installing real software for people that have work to do is a great feeling. Using distros that are worse than Windows CE in terms of both functionality and features is appalling.
>a windows user tries to use linux like another version of windows
you must be one of those powerusers I hear so much about
Don't mind me, just reminiscing about more innocent times.
perhaps in the future we'll be able to download ram, but in small portions
Hey guys, remember when you had to whistle into a phone receiver to make a long distance phone call to talk to your qt pen pal in Japan at 2:30 AM because dad threatened to send you to boot camp for real this time if you rung up the phone bill again?
>>53601515

Listen you underage cunt, porn is for those too useless to find a girl. It's not even hard these days.
This thread isn't about gayming, or frames per second, or anything video game related. Yes you read that right (poo in loo's excluded)... an AMD/Nvidia thread NOT about gayming!!! HOLY FUCK!!!
Srs question:
Which GPU is better for cracking passwords?
Which GPU best for games?
>>53601363
AMD

regular brute forcing with opencl nvdia is about 25% faster. cuda accelerated you'll be looking about 200~300% improvement.
